Dear Crowdholders⚔️,

many of us have been through glorious and painful surprises on the crypto ride. Game of Thrones, an epic show notorious for equally striking shocks as crypto, has just ended. Our adrenaline levels are still up and we’re missing all the expectation hype already, so we thought we could do with a bit of a therapeutical chat with our beloved community.

The ink is dry and it’s up to us to cash out our joy or disappointment. Over the cast of years we’ve watched characters develop, rendering them heroes, cowards, traitors, plotters, villains, lovers, more plotters… you name it. Their plastic personalities made us fly from hate to compassion or vice versa. Now that the show’s ended and no more twists are possible, we’d like to ask:

  1. What is your overall feeling about how the story developed?

  2. Who’s your ultimate favourite character?

  3. Who is the character you think deserved more?

       * * * * *

Or maybe there are some imaginative souls amongst us who could come up with an alternative, perhaps more satisfying ending? Challengers of the status quo believing something went a bit wrong?  👉 You can also resolve this task by suggesting changes in strategies, story or character development since the moment Daenerys embarked the boat to Westeros. (Crowdholding team pick for when the story ending begins.)

Be sure we’ll expect your suggestions as if it was next season coming up! 😊

Stir the passions and take care,

because at Crowdholding your imagination is appreciated.

I found the movie very intesresting but since i didnt watch it i always use the thing i am being told by my friends to follow up the movie, so i did a little search online and i got  these review by the online community which is "George R.R. Martin's best-selling book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" is brought to the screen as HBO sinks its considerable storytelling teeth into the medieval fantasy epic. It's the depiction of two powerful families -- kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and honest men -- playing a deadly game for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and to sit atop the Iron Throne. Martin is credited as a co-executive producer and one of the writers for the series, whose shooting locations include Northern Ireland, Malta, Croatia and Spain." reading through this i saw that the movie was a very good watch nice acting and nice everything also.

Well the story developed (#1) well up until the show ran out of books to follow. Then, it kind of fell apart and ended abruptly. I feel they should have stuck with the original plan of airing the final two seasons in sequence, instead of breaking them apart and having 2+ years of hype.

Ultimately Jon Snow was my favorite. Of course, this is the cliche answer, but given for two main reasons. 1) His character maintained integrity, never wanted to be king, never thought he'd get the chance, had the chance and didn't take it (with Danerys), although you might say he tried for the throne - but that's subject to interpretation. 2) In the end, he wound up living the life that was probably most meaningful to him, instead of the one society would suggest was most important.

The character that deserved more (#3) was Breann. She was probably the character with the most honor, the knighthood did her some justice. Aside from Tyrion, she's probably the one that saw - and brought out - the best side of Jamie Lanester, to end up being abandoned by him. I just didn't feel the ending satisfied the honor and nobility of her character.

I think that game of thrones is a very good movie series and it is just about the best i have seen in a long while, i will say that the series progress in quite a fast steady fashion developing and increasing thr thrills that goes with. One of my favourite saying is >>> " When you play a game of thrones you win or you die." somehow it simply potray what life is and what life can be. A very good movie great acting. great screenplay, awsome dressings and makeup. but a very nice movie indeed.

I'm not an ardent follower of the Game of Thrones series but I do receive regular updates from friends. I happened to watch only the last episode of season 8 and even though Daenerys deserved to die, I didn't like the way John Snow killed her without remorse. All in all, from what is portrayed by my friends, Game of Thrones has been wonderful even though it didn't end quite like the way they expected. According to them, the series has managed to build momentum right from season 1 up till season 8. If season 8 didn't live up to expectation, at least the other seasons make up for it. Another thing also I'd like to say is that the creators deciding to end Game of Thrones at season 8 is a very good decision. Sometimes, too much of a movie becomes boring especially when the storyline has been acted out, there's nothing more to show but the movie has to continue - which happens a lot of the time. Game of Thrones has managed to avoid that in my opinion. Whatever is left of Game of Thrones will come out as another series.

This type of show really isn't normally my kind of thing but I've been watching this since the fist episode and have been a fan ever since. Due to huge amount of TV content available, I've been watching other shows and haven't begun to watch this series yet. So I've avoided the tweets on Twitter and I've not looked at the comments on here in fear of finding out something I shouldn't.

To be honest, GOT had nothing going for me, just a typical fill your time with nonsense tv series. With that said and since I do live on planet earth for the past 8 years... I did hear some stuff about the series.
-Series was a success, grabbing empty heads
-Snow
- Daenerys, I think she deserved more naked time on the series

I am excited about the future of all crypto currency.

The story development was good. It kept me hanging.

John Snow is the man.

The king deserved a bigger story. The night king was killed to easily. That battle could of gone on longer.

To everyone who hated the ending, i am sorry. Now you have time to spread peace and love.

I have to admit, that I did not follow through for the final seasons of Game of Thrones, reason being that the characters in this play have evolved into villains or traitors, some of whom i felt sympathy or compassion for. Where I left, Jon Snow was the only personality I left some liking, so the answer to question nr. 2 would be him. Another reason, why I left, there was to much blood spill, to an extent it became exhausting for me to watch. In medieval times, there might have been lots of violence like in the series Game of Thrones, but I didn't want to dedicate any more time to such obscenities. The other obscenities in the series I didn't dislike though. The characters in the series with their disturbing personality and their basic drives are somewhat reality, but it reduces man to a monstrous animal not having any positive traits. If the series would reflect real life, all men would finally just crave for power, sex, revenge, sadism. Why I am so interested into cryptocurrency is because about creating value and not just distruction and taking advantage.

  1. What is your overall feeling about how the story developed?

The story was great and everything the developed in all the seasons was great but with such a hype how can you finish everything is 6 episodes, The White Walker, and talking down a kingdom.

        2. Who’s your ultimate favorite character?

All the Lannister character was well played but the most I liked was Tyron Lannister.

       3. Who is the character you think deserved more?

Jamie Lannister deserve more .

What is your overall feeling about how the story developed?

I think that the development of the story is very good although we know that sometimes there are some traps of time and space but that they are forgiven for the quality of the story

Who’s your ultimate favourite character?

Jon Snow is the best character without a doubt. Tyron Lannister is the other alternative but fails the family ties

Who is the character you think deserved more?

For my Sansa Stark always in the rearguard and protected by others .... weak and cowardly

How many can already discuss this series. I'm tired. I hope that at last start the psychological helping service for people that are unhappy with the ending of the series. I even wrote a review to the institute on the site. And all because of Daenerys.

This is the story. And i believe that for a long time HBO couldn't reply itself. The story is one, and is great to watch more than ones. It's epic, it's drama and often is fun.

The accents used for the differt place is incredible and the writer image a new world and create 2 differt languages to transform a dream in real epic serie.

My favourite character in the last and few world is tyrion lannister. One little man...with a long tongue ;)

And the last...How deserve more? Maybe Aria, she killed the night king, she could married one of bastard sons of last king, but she choose to surf on biiiig waves to the west...Maybe the writer could tell us what she discover ;)

I'm sugar, spice and everything nice

On how the story developed?

Personally, I feel the former days of GOT were greater than the latter days. GOT stopped shocking me somewhere in season 6. No more 'OMG, did that just happen!!!' moments. Doesn't mean it became any less interesting. I just expected more when winter finally came.

Ultimate favorite character?

That would be Arya of cuzzz. She had the least baggage and was the most consistent character. Plus she killed the Night king like slicing a piece of cake. How much more awesome can you get than that? I was glad they put a chill on that romance thing going on with the Gendry dude. Arya should be free until she's like 30.

Who deserved more?

Sansa deserved more than Queen of the North. If Tyrion wasn't taking the throne then Sansa should have the Iron Throne. She is the most qualified candidate with Tyrion as a husband or The Hand. She had all the character development to become a leader. Moving from a really annoying person to a relatable one. What does Bran know about running anything let alone a government?

I digress but I also couldn't help but feel very uncomfortable about Bran. He had the ability to see the future. He interfered with the past when (he called at his father while viewing the past, saving him in the process) without the cosmos crashing down but he somehow couldn't foresee and prevent Daenerys wiping out so many people. I say he saw it coming. I say he orchestrated the whole event. One of which is making Sam tell Jon who he was which contributed to Daenerys going psycho. Looking back at Bran's character when he was a child, it makes sense with the power to see the future and past, he would become a manipulator.

Who’s your ultimate favourite character?

Daenerys’ descent into madness makes sense in hindsight, but - and yes, I’ve already mentioned this - dedicating a little bit more time to her unravelling sanity, especially after Rhaegal and Missandei’s death, would have allowed her massacre at King’s Landing to make more sense. Morality aside, she literally said that she’d take what was hers with fire and blood, so there has been quite a bit of foreshadowing when it comes to her rampage with Drogon.

What is your overall feeling about how the story developed?

Game of Thrones has made us come to expect that bittersweet tinge left in our mouths at the end of each season, giving us endings that feel fair yet hard to stomach, so it’s a surprise that so many characters survive with a smile on their face

Who is the character you think deserved more?

Jon Snow got banished to the place where he was betrayed and murdered because he saved the realm from a tyrant who massacred an entire city. And all to appease Grey Worm, who actively participated in the massacre

I am a massive fan of the show and I loved watching it. But there were some problems from series 5 (as clearly the writers of the show didn't have the book to refer to, and so had to develop the stories with just knowing where the story ended).

1. Overall it was a great ride, but as stated above there were some issues from series 5 that left me feeling a little confused. They never really developed the white walkers, although we saw them from the very first scene and it was over the first time they got over the wall. Why build up such a character as the Ice King to simply get rid of him so easly? Why have them leave bodies in strange shapes? Jamie's character evolved so much for him to run back in the last two episodes? Why bring back Jon just for that ending (He became a bit part)? I felt it was very rushed even if it was enjoyable.

2. I was a big fan of the hound, loved how he evolved and always came into scenes and made me laugh.

3. Bronn. He was also a fav character and apart from sleeping with girls, being a sell sword and witty one liners, we never got to know more about him and it seemed they only threw him in the last season simply to make people happy.

I always try to be as knowledgeable and as honest as possible.

1.) The ending was okay but could have been a lot better. I personally didn't like that Bran took the throne though, I mean he already refused to be Lord of winterfell because he's the three eyed weirdo for heaven's sake and yet he accepts being King! Other than that, I guess I agree with a lot of people criticizing the movie for the last season's questionable plot. A lot of characters did a lot of things that were just so uncharacteristic of them. Say for example, Lord Varys tempting Jon Snow to commit treason in front of the Hand of the Queen himself. Lord varys has been known to be a clever and composed character, it was just so unlikely of him to do that. That was just plain stupid. That's just one off the top of my head but there were a lot more. Oh wait, here: The night king was too trash, the entire game of thrones series was built up for that moment, the series freaking catchphrase is "winter is coming", and yet they kill him off in one episode with a little girl and that's it? I like that Arya killed her but overall the arc is still very unsatisfying. Also, Cersei and Jaime deserved better deaths. Peter Baelish storyline seems incomplete, check out his last appearance with Arya. That part seemed odd and I thought he wasn't really dead. Those to name a few. There were also a lot of oopsies when it comes to filming like that Starbucks cup and water bottles, but since it's not really part of the storyline, I'm not gonna tackle that. However, that's enough proof that they somehow rushed the last season and didn't put much thought about it. But then again, it wasn't that bad. For casual viewing, that finale would suffice. It's just that if you really think about it, they simply didn't try hard enough to write a good storyline.

2.) If there's anyone who stayed true to his character, it was Tyrion "The Imp" Lannister. He was a lovable character from the very start and I think in the end, he played all of them. Despite everything he's done he ended up being the second most powerful man in the 6 kingdoms, and I think it was part of his plan all along. Clever guy!

3.)If I'm being honest, I think one among The Imp, Varys, Peter Baelish or Cersei deserved it much more. I think they were the real players of the game of thrones. They were all clever and decisive. Nobody played the game of thrones better than them. Jon didn't want it, Daenerys isn't for for it, and for heaven's sake why Bran? But then again, we can no longer change that. I guess we have to live with the ending then. I just think that if George R.R. Martin were to write it, it would be someone like Peter Baelish. Unpredictable and shocking, but at the same time it makes perfect sense with the story and consistent with how he really does his plot. You don't have to agree with this, but just think about it. That's just how GRRM writes, don't you think?

Alternative plot for me:

I won't go into details but I think the night king should have been the final climactic battle. Varys also shouldn't die because of just plain stupidity and Cersei should have been killed by at least the Night King or Daenerys directly.I don't know, at least someone important and not just some darn bricks. Arya should have killed the wrong man and so Peter Baelish is actually alive and somehow takes the throne. Or at least, attempts to take the throne. Why? Again, take a look at the episode where he supposedly died. That coin he gave to the girl? Connect the dots, man. You can then let Arya kill him and let Arya take the throne. Anyone but the unimportant warning paralytic weirdo character named Bran.

Anyway, I'm not really a writer so I guess that's all I have! I'll just learn to accept it.

Working hard 💻 & hardly working 🎧

1) I have actually read all the books right after season 1 was finished, so I must say that I am and always was a big fan of the story.

I was not very happy about the development in the last season, it seemed that the directors tried to push too much of the storyline development into just a few episodes, resulting in a bit of a mess. There were some illogical storyline developments and even a few loose ends after the ending.

I am left with hope that the next two books will provide a better ending to this epic story.

2) It has to be Arya, she went through a lot during the years and worked up to a very powerful character.

3) Jamie.. He went through such a character development just to have it flushed down the toilet in the last couple of episodes.

It's a fantastic story about different social classes and many rebonds progressively.

My favorite character is Daenerys Targaryen for her determination and her intelligence.

Aria Starke I think is the character the most deserved because her courage is not rewarded.

The story was OK. The first two or three episodes where nothing to write home about but was interesting along the way.

My favorite character was Aya Stark. I amire her courage and determination and also how much she values freedom. She always wants to do things on her terms.

I think the Night King deserved more. His demise was so sudden. I think that is was make the series beautiful.

  1. I think the stroy developed logically. There were a lot of hints of how characters would progress in retrospect. However I think the way they did it was way too fast. I missed the storytelling a lot in the last season. Everything was over so fast. People (Daenerys) changed from one episode to another, when in previous seasons this would have taken almost the entire season. The last season would have be a lot better, if they made it twice as long and took their time for storytelling. Furthermore everyone got the ending they desired more or less. Even Ser Jorah died how he wanted to, protecting his queen.

  2. This is Tyrion, without a doubt. From the first episode onwards he was always fun. Masterpiece.

  3. The Hound. He was so inpactful on how Arya develops in terms of saving her live, protecting here and teaching her how to survive. He was one of the reasons she lived that long and was able to kill the Night king. So he should have gotten something in return. Killing his zombie brother and living would have been enough.

2. My ultimate favurite character was Arya Stark. She is more of a warrior now. I will not mind if she get a storyline of her own.

3. Jon Snow. Him getting an exile ending was not what was expected. An ending with him as the King of the iron throne even though he doesn't want it.

What is your overall feeling about how the story developed?

The biggest part of the array is
: '' If he dies, the series has a structure that never gives opportunity.
Actually, it is necessary to develop an algorithm called Taht Networks to understand the sequence.
The series is watched in many countries with a tremendous final record (over 100), which is hard to show the global monitoring figure because data cannot be received from the markets!

I don't know which story to write here :)

Yes, the summers are very short compared to the winters, but long enough to be a geography where there are long winters .. Maybe it will not end!

The story was great the epic battle the dragon itself and overall character wise. John Snow was my of them all. They all deserved because the work so hard to make the series great and make the people give them their ownself for the character thay had, for me this epic film was the great film series of all time.

I'm disappointed because it wrapped whole story up way too fast. And I feel sorry for Jon's destiny but on the other hands, I think he went to the place where he belongs to. He never wanted the throne and it was not for him. Drogo behaved as Deus Ex Machina. That's the point where I'm disappointed. He suddenly finished the last war and the last episode as well. In part of my mind, I still like how George fuck up important figures of the story. Till the end of ends, he kept fucking up the most important characters like Danny and Jon.

My favourite name was Theon Greyjoy.. I think he's one of the best written characters, if not the best written. He's extremely realistic in terms of what he's done in his situation, and because his actions make him a very morally grey character (which is realistic- most people in real life are not 100% good or bad). Certain characters like Jon or Cersei just don't seem realistic because they're either too morally good or too unnecessarily evil in all situations, but Theon behaves exactly like a real-life person would.

At the first season ending the leading role actor is dying and it wouldn't happens normally, at that time i told my self that this series will be rock and at least will be 5 seasons. We had all 8 seasons with great pleasure.. That was my best series i believe..

There are so many gods in this story: the horse god, the goat god, the light god, the dark god, the 7 gods, the drowned god, the storm god, Rhoynar, the old gods, the great shepherd, the moon maiden, the lion of night , the pattern god, the stone crows, the weeping lady of lys. Etc. etc.

My favourite character is Davos! He has common sense and cares about good grammar.

I think that the story was well developed, with lots of twists and turns, over several seasons. My ultimate favurite character was Arya Stark. I think that sher deserved more. Why couldnt she be queen? She was the one who defeated the dead leader, and wasn't really given any credit. I think that she is the biggest hero. I like the way that the ending was unexpected, and a good choice.

Great story by all standards.

I think the ending was perfect for a story like Game of thrones which makes it different.  With GoT you can't predict anything which made me love it. So yeah, great ending.

Great ending. Simply, viewers are accustomed to stereotypical endings and stereotypes, or perhaps unhappy that this is the end, that the Games of Thrones will no longer exist. Daenerys became a mad queen and herself turned into a monster (the dragon’s wings are symbolic behind her back in the last series), wanting to rule the world and, like all tyrants, paid for it. After killing Deineris, the creators of the series showed that it is impossible to be merciful, killing thousands of innocent people, and it is impossible to rule with impunity after this, hiding behind the mask of good. So it was with Darth Vader, so it was with Hitler, etc., so all the crazy tyrants end. John renounced the crown, lost the second love, but saved many lives, punished the tyrant and was expelled, returning to where he started his journey, he even looked at the end, like John Snow, the bastard from the Night Watch, from the first seasons. The dragon burned the iron throne, showing that all the troubles because of it, not for nothing, dragons are considered the wisest creatures. Yes, without Happy End, everyone survived the tragedy, got wounds and ended up quite sad, but it looks like real life and everything is in the Game of Thrones style. Well, and to whom, if not Bran, to become king, in comparison with him, are all the same and it would not be logical to distinguish someone among them. Jaime remained faithful to Cersei and died with her, protecting her, he died, as he wanted to die, in the arms of his beloved woman, and in the last minutes of their lives, they realized that neither the iron throne, nor the power, nor gold is more important than their love and that was the main thing in their lives, but it was too late. Briena finished the story on Jaime. The main storylines are closed, in the future the fate of the characters is unknown, which makes it possible to reflect and speculate on the audience. I think that many viewers have received a large portion of emotions, feelings, goosebumps and the very feeling when the heart shrinks in the chest from the magnificence and power of the show.

P.S. Favorite character of course Tormund Giantsbane! =)

Well I have to say, I have never watched Game of Thrones....I know, I know....shame on me! I do see lots of stories are written about it & it's talked about on the radio a lot. So I do know it is quite popular! I have nothing against it, just not a show I watched. Sorry, can't help.

Glad to know there are people like me who didn't watch Game if Thrones. It was undoubtedly very popular. My colleagues in the Chinese class here in Abuja, Nigeria looked like they needed consolation while reporting their dissatisfaction over how it ended and speculating why the ending should be so 'hurried'.
