New Rewarding System: fill survey & give feedback!

Rewards

No YUP/tokens awarded

Welcome Crowdholders!

Today we’re launching a new rewarding system and we’d love for you to try it out and tell us what you think.

Objectives:
The goal of this task is to familiarize our community with the new system, choose which explanation will be used on the platform (you will be presented with 2 options) and finally collect and rate feedback in the comment section.

Activities:

  • Complete this survey to help us decide our rewarding system explanation.
  • Answer the following questions in the comments:
    1. What do you think of our new rewarding system?
    2. How might this change the way you interact with tasks using this rewarding system?
    3. What do you like about it?
    4. Do you have any concerns?

Rewards:

  • A total of 5000 YUPS for comments and upvotes.
  • 100 YUPS for each survey submission.

We will be publishing the survey results as CH news next week, so stay tuned and happy crowdsourcing!

Yours, CH team.

Hello...The survey is easy to understand, but i found a small problem, I could barely read the Option B. Fonts are too small. On zoom in page, letters become unreadable. I am working on a 19 inch monitor, must be lot worse on smaller screens. Just to let you know. I am new to this, but very interested. Will surf a little bit here the next days. Good luck for you

I am a new users, so have only seen the updated version with getting comments for up voting, but I find it very easy to understand and it creates an incentive to comment and vote on comments.

I spent almost all my time reading through the platform, the payment and the arrangement of it is awesome... Everyone is Been noticed by the platform managers which I believe bounties and other related activities will be more cool if most platforms will be like this. And adding to that I did like to see more projects with good products been handled out here.

I think the new arrangement was very good. At least instead of winning easy prizes, people who show more effort will win.

As a moderator over at Steemhunt I can confirm that this strategy does work.

After weeks of trying multiple different models, we recently started a similar concept and it let to a massive improvement in comment quality. The total number of rewarded comments is capped though.

Cheers for sharing. Just signed up, and checking out steemhunt. Having the team analyze as we speak.

Yes, there is no Steemhunt blog yet outside the Steemit blog. We know lol.

Some months ago already we switched to ABV to define our daily rankings independently from Steemit upvote total. That was recently updated to a new, improved user score implementation which is now also used to define which comments get upvoted. Internally we call he concept "geek capita".

More info in this post, complete with links to the history of Steemhunt's ABV: https://steemit.com/steemhunt/@steemhunt/introducing-new-steemhun...

So Steemhunt's own upvote is entirely based upon its own "reputation" system for users. The total hunt score defines the ranking, the user level define the current upvote each hunt receives. This will allow Steemhunt to evolve totally away from Steem rewards mechanics once SMTs launch next year.

I mostly commented because we recently made the switch to implement that mechanic also on the comments. So far it has massively improved the quality of both top comments shown and the upvoted comments. Comment upvotes are rewarded with HUNT (airdrop).

We are trying to build a system in which people forget Steem curation rewards. As such moderator review comments are even not shown to logged in users in order not to handicap not yet reviewed hunts. Of course, some still check he post on Steemit but if there's possible rewards some will always try to maximize any system.

Can you elaborate on the concept you're using?
From what I checked out it seems to be the same voting system as on a regular Steemit (Regular Steem blockchain). What's the difference? What did you change? There does not seem to be any info on your website.

Cheers

I came to find out about this platform recently as I search through and also get to see those Bounties been held here and it gave me full courage that the platform is well organised and taking part in every activities is well recommend.

I'm happy with the new way of rewarding the upvotes and how it's only going to be a limited amount. This will definitely make more people want to read the comments if they already don't. No concerns from what I've read.

i think new rewarding system is very challenging.and it make me think more and this is hard too:).
as i recently joined your site and haven't got any rewards yet so i can not tell like this new system or not.

Cheers for the feedback. It's good we simplify the explanation and try not to make it too confusing.

Time is gold, Gold is time

I think I prefer in option 2 but also option 1 is also great. In option 2 upvoters has a chance tp earn mostly of the people doesn't vote because they think that they will never get benifited if they will upvote or not. Also the upvotes are hidden and I think its also great. In option 1 that I like is the voters get 35% and the one who comment will also earn.

Both options is the same rewarding system... one is just a longer explanation that goes in more detail.

Don't listen to me, listen to the data and research.

I've gone through that survey and obviously the first option looks good to me as it has highlighted the figures which is much understandable.

And new rewarding system is for all, that's what makes it the best rewarding system so far.

What do you think of our new rewarding system?
It is very interactive system which gives the reward to content writer and the ppl who vote and think that is the best one.
How might this change the way you interact with tasks using this rewarding system?
Now everyone will not only review about it but also read other content and vote it.
What do you like about it?
you will be awarded for voting also, which is good.
Do you have any concerns?
right now not at all, lets see how these things goes on.

Nice project! Im so excited to do the survey or the task will be given. Im sure it will be fun and at the same time informational.

I guess I can describe my self as a new user since is just about a month that i joined the platform, but since the first time i used it has been very simple and intuitive. with this update at the rewarding sistem I think as been added a necessary part, that just slightly increase the complexity for the user, but offer a good incentive for more participation.
Surely it will change my way to use the platform, now i will pay more attention at other comments and look for the right ones to upvote.
I think that incentivise the secondary interactions (upvotes) is something very needed in this platform and that will improve the quality of the comments, and also having already in place measures to avoid spam and flooding of upvotes is a very good thing to keep the platform functioning well.

1. What do you think of our new rewarding system? It looks great, as there are new mechanics into the voting system, which can contribute to reinforce the content quality.
2. How might this change the way you interact with tasks using this rewarding system? Since the upvoters can also receive rewards, they will have additional interest to support the best contributors and earning at the same time.
3. What do you like about it? The strategies to avoid spam and unsubstantial comments, that are incentives for all the contributors to give useful answers, instead of generic phrases of adulation.
4. Do you have any concerns? At this moment everything seems good and I hope this system will be beneficial for all the community members.

1. I think it's great that contributors with better answers will receive better rewards for their effort.
2. As mentioned over, the better answers, the better rewards. This will for sure give Crowdholding better data and a even better community when it comes to sharing of knowledge.
3. What I like about it: It will increase the quality of the comments.
4. No concerns as long as it will work out

TheCrypto .Tips

I do both things that measure our entire World => UX & TA

1. Amazing new way to earn and share knowledge! Great work!
2. This will reduce spam comments and give better review on things
3. I like the separation between commenters and voters
4. If thinks will go different you can always modify and adjust the program

I liked the new system. I think it is a good idea to keep the upvote amount a secret.
I really did not get the part which you wrote about the reported comments.
- If I upvote a comment which was reported how will it affect me? And how can you guys be sure if the comment was worth reporting? - one of our friends wrote this issue as well.

Experimenter, Goal to understand humans and delight them (I'm human, too )

The comments are often reported based on our Policy. Eg. i twas offensive, copied someone elses answer or offered no value (eg. it was a "Nice project" comment --> Spam)

First of all, congrats to this very important step into improving this platform. After the introduction into the new voting system I have still some questions.

What about the already running tasks, is there applied the new voting system as well? I published a 1500+ character article and no one seems to vote :-(

Regarding to the spam, what happens if users with multiple accounts vote for their self, can such a comment still be reported as spam? If yes than these accounts will be banned for voting, after fraud is detected. Also with multiple accounts / friends accounts they would upvote each other and so easier get into the better half... The crowdholding team is already aware of this problem.

On the the voting algorithm for determining the better half of the comments and on rewarding the voters of the better half I have some doubts. Just imagine a more difficult task like an article submission where there are less contributions, lets say 5-10, the system is flawed. If people cast all their 7 votes, the voters are guaranteed to have voted for the better half and the contributors are guaranteed votes.

Hi Thomas,

Unfortunately the old tasks are staying with the old system.
Also, companies can still choose the Old system if they wish to do so when posting new tasks (for now).

"No one seem to vote" - this is exactly what we hope to change with this system. Or at least move in the right direction.

Yup, those accounts will also be banned if this happens many times. They are flagged for "investigation" and if they get flagged many times they also get banned.

Yes, that's a valid concern :). And we were thinking of this.
For now we are sticking to 7 upvotes though this number might change (and even become dynamic). Let's just see the results of this experiment and how it goes.

Also, we are hoping that we''ll attract better contribotors and therefore better contributions in near future. So the number of good contributions should increase, too.

Thank you for a very good feedback Thomas, appreciated :).

This is a necessary improvement.
The system seems good.
I like that, on the one hand, it will increase the activity in the comments, on the other hand, they will improve their quality.
I doubt the punishment for spam will be fair. Perhaps the person will sincerely vote for a comment, but later he will be declared spam.
In addition, I'm not sure about the number of points for a reward. So far this is enough for me, but it may be worth thinking about a system that will allow them to be increased.

It's quite confusing

Thank you for your feedback Raymond. Every voice matters here at CH, and we look forward to sharing the results of the survey next week, so we can all discuss and improve together!

Hi Raymond,

can you be more specific with what's confusing for you?

The previous system was straightforward. It takes sometime to get this one since there are a lot of stuff involved. Thats all.

Good algorithm, it will minimize apvote abuse by multi account users. I think crowdholding should be better, Now there are new steemit models that give high rewards system. Crowdholding is different system that give rewards for social media sharing will be the choice for investors and users.

* I like the new reward system.
* Thanks to this reward system, all users will start reading reviews. and he will vote for the comments he really likes.
* In the past, users who do not vote for comments will start reading comments.
* My biggest concern is that some users can vote for it with fake accounts. it is important to prevent

I am very happy to get to know this website.
a lot of things I can learn from some of my friends' writings.
hopefully it can add a lot of new knowledge to me

ya.. welcome.. and share your opinion for crypto future

I think this is a great improvement over the current voting system. Now members really have to add value.
If you combine explanations A and B you're done.
In description A i'm missing the ability to change my upvotes (i prefer it can be done anytime before the task expires, not only the last 24 hours)
In description B i'm missing the amount of upvotes you can reward for a task

I am happy to find this web. because I can share my options widely and directed,
1. I really appreciate this award.
2. I can give my opinion directly and can interact with the new ico from here.
3. appreciation of opinions and ideas
4.ya ... also provide participant popups or how we give appreciation for our votes

I think this improvement is necessary. It will adjust and help people to consider carefully before the upvote, the rewards have also changed. "We should read carefully before doing anything."
This is good for the community, and I'm excited about the New Rewarding System!

What do you think of our new rewarding system? It seems interesting and may increase users' interaction.
How might this change the way you interact with tasks using this rewarding system? It increases
What do you like about it? It increases my desire to interact with other users
Do you have any concerns? No, just fine:)

I was looking forward to this for a long time. We really had a problem with a lacking of incentive to vote. Some people just not voting at all. Another big problem fixed is going to create incentive to be selective on the voting. And another way to earn actually by voting for quality.

Very good to add the punish for the rewarding of upvoting "good job" comments. I hope it will reduce spam and increase quality all over the platform!

I liked option B from the survey. It's a easier to understand for me. It's explains better how the reward is divided between the upper and lower 50% of the comments. Maybe change @ option A "while voters 35%" to "While voters get 35%." But overall very nice change, good job guys!

The new rewarding system can help boost all the participants to look into deeper the real goal of the project.. It can change the way they should put their ideas into it... In a way that more constructive and idealistic informations should be done... Maybe the moderators must be check properly if its worth it the way it is

the new reward system seems fruitful as it will reduce rate of unwanted or unnecessary comments. if some one misuse or break the rule by reporting anybody without any reason , there should be a brief and genuine reason for reporting .

From a large number of projects, this one is the best!Great idea, which perfectly realizes itself!Good luck!I believe there will be a stunning success.

The new reward system is great. We will have a more qualified comments. I just have a one question in my head if a comment reported for anything how will you decide if it is legit or not? Soon we will have more users on platform so we need to put solid rules for reporting also. Now you can report anybody without any reason. I suggest putting a brief reason for reporting any comment. In conclusion mod can decide whether it is legit or not.
