Do we need to change the YUP symbol?

Rewards

No YUP/tokens awarded

In order to keep a sustainable and scalable development of Crowdholding, we developed a new smart contract that is perfect for our CH eco-system. It required a number of sleepless nights to allow our new smart contract to replace the old one. (See more about new smart contract)

Before the tokens will finally be distributed March 7th 3pm CET time, we came up with a task for all y’all.

We want to keep the token name “Yupie“, but we might potentially change the symbol as it’s how people view it on the exchange, and our old token also has used this YUP symbol. Therefore we are asking you, the community, for feedback and ideas on creating or keeping the same token symbol.

Share your ideas with of both the pros and cons with us and earn some tokens!

No need to change it, personally, I already familiar with that symbol

мне нравится настоящее имя и я не думаю что его нужно менять

I think we need to change the token name to make it look more charismatic, but retain the character or represent the name of the Crowdholding site itself. I think changing the name of YUP is better. I suggested the name of the CDH token, CROW.

Maybe the name is not so nice for me,I think it is a great idea to change the symbol.

If you're keeping the name token name as Yupie, don't change the symbol. I find it so hard to remember certain coins & tokens symbol because they don't sound out the name (example the Xs in Monero (XMR) and Ripple (XRP))

I think it is the best virtual money platform which enables us to attain great returns in a small period. This helps us to reach great heights in limited period. It is the best cryptocurrency which allows to expand and so we should grab it in time without hesitation. This platform is sharing of economic ideas on one platform which makes it best.

I think yupi is a unique name, but it is rather memorable childish

If you want to keep the name YUPIE, I would recommend recommend changing the token symbol into something akin to "Yippiieeeeee" as suggested already below, something celebratory and fun :)

I don't like the name, i would go for crowns!

I would definitely change the name, although I love the upside down symbol idea. For me Yupie doesn't give me any idea of what the project is about, and you have a killer concept so you should shout about it. Crowd is the obvious shout, but perhaps something short, snappy and positive that relates to the ideology of crowd input (Input, idea, creative coin etc) something like that would make me want to learn more about what this is all about.
Or if you wanted to keep the logo (which I think is nice and clean) what about some more relevent 'yp' names? Youplan? Yakkapay?

I personally like the name Yupie, but potential investors might find it immature or unprofessional.

I like the name Yupie (YUP). I think the name suits the ideology of Crowdholding.

Yes I would say change it to something that represents the brand better like ChmH or CwD

Whats your thought on YU?
I dont think we have YU and it sound more better .dont know what others think

i think what would work good is to change it to YUPI, that way its close the YUP symbol but letting the community know its a different coin

If it is unique then we don't have to change it, people are attracted to a symbol and if the project is lucky and people already adapt the symbol then why chance it, but it's better to have a poll for this, this is for people who just want to vote and not voice their opinion

YUPIE is a token of innovation, a currency of co-creation, and an award of knowledge and intelligence. I feel very sad that Crowdholders do not understand the meaning of YUPIE.

I think it is the time to explain the meaning of YUPIE for ruling out the confusion.

“YUPIE” stands for “YUP Unites People with the Innovation Ecosystem”. And, then, “YUP” stands for “YUPIE Unleashes Potential”. It is a pair of mutually recursive acronyms.

P.S. this dictionary only exists in a parallel dimension. I used to be an Interdimensional Bounty Hunter, but then I took an arrow in the knee.

I am not sure why the name Yupie was chosen to begin with. I suppose it sounds neat; but, then again, to others it might sound annoying and childish.

The most important thing is, how does the name Yupie benefit your platform? It doesn't seem to have any relation to it and doesn't denote anything. The connotations, however, come off as negative. It's like a company that is trying desperately hard to sound catchy or trendy.

Instead, investors will have much more clarity and point of reference if you named the token after your own company: crowdholding. This has already been mentioned by others because it is a valid point. The token should be called Crowd and should be listed as CROWD.

Yup, change the name and the symbol. How about CROWD or CRWD? Neither are on CMC right now.

Yup is confusing and doesn't relate to crowdholding.

I really like the name Yupie (YUP) for these reasons:-

1. it's a very cool concept that it is the logo upside down

2. Yuppie is short for "young urban professional" or "young upwardly mobile professional")is a term coined in the early 1980s for a young professional person working in a city, which i imagine is the sort of demographic they are targeting (18-35 young professionals, educated and into innovation)

3. If you google Yupie, apart from the definition of the word Crowdholding already pop up pretty much on every link on the first page, it's a unique name. "Crowd, Crow (which someone suggested) will already be taken up by a lot of different products and projects. I think these days it is very hard to find something original and you guys have stumbled onto it.

4. It's fun to say! Kinda close to Yippiieeeeee, why not have a fun factor involved as well?

I think people don't like it because maybe they don't know the original term, but i feel the name suits the ideology.

Honestly, I had no idea that yupie meant, "Young Urban Professional." I think many parts of the world Yuppie has no meaning and just sounds strange.
If crowdholding hopes to expand in the world of crypto, the global audience is much more important than people limited to the Western hemisphere. And on top of that, just American? Not sure if this phrase is thrown around outside America.

I think it is a very unknown term, i only found out because i googled it. I am from the UK and i haven't heard the term before. I just think it's a cool thing and shows that there has been quite a lot of thought that has gone into the name of the token. Just a nice added bonus and not the main selling point. I just think if you look at all the other altcoins there isn't too much individuality, I feel Crowdholding does!

I think the term corms from Urban America, from the time when Starbucks was in its infancy. But most people will connect it to happiness I guess. Also quite a few puns (How many Yuppies will make you say "Yupee). The only problem - it's hard to spell for non-natives.

Regarding the sign - I think just a version of the original will be fine?

Yes, please change it. There is nothing Yupie about YUP Tokens. But please do not keep separate token name and separate symbol. How about Crow tokens? :P

Hey guys, you're complicating things again. While I like the idea of turning the logo around and using it for both is neat, there is no need to have a different name for platform and token. I think naming your coin crowdholding would be best. If you will add token functionalities to it, just name it crowdholding token if you want to be double sure on the clarification front, but it's apparent it's a token if it's on an exchange.

Dislike yuppie name. Does nothing but confuse ordinary people and annoy me.
