As you know, we are developing a new smart contract where we can create the token supply amount. During the crowdsale all investors, includes bonuses,  will own in the 45% crowdsale pool altogether. Thus, changing the supply amount will not change the percentage owned by our investors. The total supply can be between 20 million Yupies (low supply) to several billions (very high supply). Give your reason and amount for either low supply, medium supply or high supply and tell us why. Your feedback will give us insight of the exact number to use. Examples are welcome as well.

We look forward to your feedback.

Very perspective project with the good team of developers. It is considered that the project is qualitative, it is obvious that the team works and puts in it heart and soul. All of good luck!!!

The first one seems ok

In my opinion, token supply from 400 - 500 Mil is a better option, our friends have already detailed explanation below too.

50-100 Million. It is a good way to exhaust supply and drive up price.

I believe 500,000,000 would be an adequate amount.

simply use above 1b
its too easy to compute and estimate your budget that way unlike, as we know, btc decimals.
Rewarding with decimals is not motivating cause it has quite psychological impact.

Between 200 Miliion and 500 Million. This is a good number for medium supply.
Yupie aroun $0.01

between 500 million to 1 billion total supply. At 1 billion that would be 450 million circulating. that would be 0.00444 per yuppie with a 2 mill market cap. at 100 mill marketcap that would be 22 cents. at 500 mill total supply that would be 44 cents. Will you have tasks on the platform that will need payment of pennies? then consider a supply of 10 billion. that would be 2 cents a token at 100 millon cap.

I think 1.000.000.000 its great amount and as usual burn the unsold tokens or maybe locked the unsold for 3 years and make as a "treasure" tokens. Is it possible?

At 200-400M, based on someone's math above, the price of a YUP would be 0.01-0.02, which means that all of us who spent 1ETH for 1000 YUPs have immediately lost about 90% of our investments. Based on that alone, I think the supply should be much much lower.

lol. Not sure if joking or not. But the ratio will remain the same. You would receive new tokens adjusted to the new supply. Example: If the total token supply is currently 20.000.000 and tomorrow it's 200.000.000 you will receive 20x your tokens. So 1 eth = 1000 YUP*20 = You get 20.000. You won't lose 90% of your investment :p.

Ok maybe I misunderstood.

My vote goes to +-450 million Yupies total supply.

It seems everyone here wants a nice, regular coin with 200-400m supply, putting 1 yuc at 0.01-0.02 cents which has its merits and would work. It's especially good from te speculative side as 2 cents "seems" cheap.

From the usability side a lower cap of 20-40m could work better though, probably nobody expects YUC to be worth a bitcoin anytime soon, but even if it would, you don't see anyone complaining if he gets 0.01 BTC for a bounty task, do you?

So one yuc starting at 20 cents is better from the usability viewpoint, it's superfluos to get 1000 yuc for a task, the number is too big, we like our numbers short and manageable and 10 would do better.

I want to see YUP on Top 100 of CMC

15,000,000,000 YUP

520 million

45% of 520 M = 234 M

I would opt for about 13.6 m, which fits exactly with the amount we all brought in.

1530 ETH raised * 1000 Yupies + 300% = 6.120.000 Yupies in the ICO are sold
45% of Yupies is sold in the ICO
55% of Yupies is used of team/advisort/bonusses/reserve

Total amount of Yupies = 6.120.000 / 45% = 13.600.000

This would price 1 Yup at $0,12 at the current ETH price of $1091

500,000,000 is a good amount. I am not a fan of when there are so many tokens that the project feels washed out. I also hate very low amounts. No one wants to pay hundreds for one coin. I like a middle ground that makes people feel like they can own a decent amount of tokens. Plus 500,000,000 keeps the price right from the ICO.

Low supply like 20 mln would be too low. Meaning token price would be very high. More than 1 billion is too big supply. So that's why I think good token supply amount is around 500 mln-1 billion. More people would have a chance to buy while it's cheap. It's not easy question though.

In my opinion the ideal supply should be around 300-700 million. The project has some similarities with the Bounty0x platform, where people are rewarded bounty tokens for completing software development and consulting tasks. Bounty0x has a total supply of 500,000,000 and a circulating suppy of 118,148,321 tokens. Being able to reward a user with a couple of hundred/thousand Yupie tokens is a lot more practical and feels a lot more rewarding then receiving 0,5 Yupie tokens (although its the same amount in dollar/eth).

From an ICO perspective, i would recommend somewhere between 300 Million - 400 Million supply, this keeps the supply balanced in relation to the price. If we put supply at 300M with 135M in circulation we will be looking at an average price per of $.018 per YUP which is a very attractive price for future investors.

When the project is up and running, hypothetically speaking, if the market cap rises to around 500M we are looking at $3.70 per YUP (assuming no more coins issued in circulation). Assuming the 19% additional is issued you will be looking at 192M in circulation thus driving price/ YUP down to 2.60, again a good price. With projects paying money for feedback you want the reviewers to think they are working for value, with a lower coin supply you instill the thought of a valuable reward as each YUP is worth more. A different way to think about it, would you rather work for something if i told you i would give you 5 dollars or 500 pennies? Personally speaking i would go for 5 dollars as i associate dollar with more value.

In my opinion, i would not go with anything higher than 400M as it creates an attractive price for future investors and thus spring boarding your initial startup fund to scale and move swiftly in the market.

I am thinking of around 445,000,000 Total Supply to match the hard cap.

445,000,000 * 45% = 200,250,000
200,250,000 * $0.01 = $2,002,500 (initial MC)

So 1 Yupie = $0.01

Medium supply is my vote.

YUPIES are here to be used. So rewards in tasks should be an integer to 1 at least. It is quite silly to give "0.0001 YUP".
Financially is has no impact for anyone if we have 1M or 1Bn.

I would go for 500 million. This cap is not likely to be surpassed by the market cap anytime soon, so we could always reward people with an integer of 1 YUP.

The supply should be 1-10 billion. The reason for high supply is not having give out very small fractions to the users when the value of token increases. This is useful specially considering the reward each user get for a single project is not going to be very high.

Lets say the market cap of YUP is 1 billion. And each commentor is going to be rewarded 0.93 USD for their input. In this case each user would get 93 YUPs. Which is easier to read than say each user getting 0.00093 which would be the case for smaller supply.

I really wish we could be there in that 1B market cap but right now, I think that's too much.

Let it then be 1 YUP. Accordingly, all investors will own 0.45% of the YUP :)
In fact, personally it seems to me that in general, no matter what the amount, although perhaps I badly understand it until now.

Hi! it reminds me "Rick and Morty". When Rick infiltrated the Galactic government, the money supply of Galactic government was 1. Rick changed it from 1 to 0, and the whole Galactic government collapsed. BUT HI, even the whole money supply is only 1, everybody still can get same amount of YUPIEs, such as 0.000000001. :-D

Hi Yang Shuyong!
It's cool :-)) Now I will definitely start watching "Rick and Morty"! I love cartoons.
Personally, I really like this model, but people want millions :)

The total token supply should be set to 400 million. This amount is perfect size for total supply, which allows the token to have a good base value. Not very low in value, and also not too high like BTC or ETH.

It will be good to have a fair number of tokens for ICO buyers so if there is a need to sell some, we can also sell in smaller chunks, which is visually and somatically easier to comprehend.
