The space allocated to the tour window could be bigger, it would allow you to use a larger font. Duration could be shortened.

Loading times could be optimized.

Besides these minor things it does it's job well!

* The tour popups could be a bit larger.
* The email address in the final tour panel ("Thanks for reading!") should be a link.
* A link to additional information about the project at the end would be nice.

Overall, the length and content are fine, and offer enough to get started with Crowdholding.

Tour itself is very good with decent design (that's a good thing because in this case, the content is more important than visual side of it). I also think the length of the tour is OK and it's straightforward.
I just have one improvement - email at the end of the tour should be clickable if it's possible (classic mailto link).

The tour itself is short enough to keep the interest of the reader. However it does not flow very well on Google Chrome and Safari. It takes a few seconds for the pop-ups to appear when loading a page. It feels a bit like those annoying "chat with customer service now!" pop-ups on some websites.

Since you have only a few seconds to captivate the user, I feel like this tour could be complementary to a basic video/audio demonstration on the main page. The tour itself would be like "for a step by step guide, click here". A 30 seconds video could encompass all the important aspects of the app and make it more appealing.

Overall impression:
1) It is short and shows what needs to be shown
2) Definitely laggy as suggested by @alexander Gessler before

Suggestions:
1) Please create 2 tours [1 for users, 1 for the companies]
2) The tour bubble can use a "theme" in a similar way as the crowdholding webpage.
3) The font could be bigger.
4) Make the dark mask a bit textured so that it looks like a mask. Currently, the highlighted content looks like a new image on top of the old one. Thank you

the length of the tour is fine, the text bubble has the font size a bit small. Otherwise it is fine

-"Giving back to the communiity" step is 1 big sentence: "Projects on Crowdholding will pledge a percentage of their revenue to people who are active in the community, so if you get involved, and the project does well, you benefit too!"

Maybe something like this would be easier to read: "Projects on Crowdholding pledge a percentage of their revenue to people who are active in the community. This allows active community participants to be rewarded for helping projects!"

-"Task" step should highlight all (or a few) of the tasks on the project board first. Then mention "Let's look at the first one" while also highlighting it. Essentially this one would get broken into 2 steps.

-"Homepage / Newsfeed" step could be first in the tour. I think this would make sense logically since this is where most people would come first.

General notes:
I did find it confusing at times when the object would pop-out and the webpage itself dims. This made it difficult to visualize where on the webpage this item came from. It might be better to leave the items on the webpage and just highlight the area being focused on. You could also dim the other parts of the webpage, but not super dark so people can still clearly see where the section being mentioned is located on the page.

Overall I thought the tour was good and does a good job conveying information about the site. I believe there are some formatting/flow type changes that could make it a little more clear though. The loading time between steps did seem a bit high as Alexander Gessler mentioned.

The iTour duration is ok, but you can provide better examples and you can also include in iTour some sections of the profile such as Activity.

Personally I would prefer a prerecorded video!!

Maybe we should provide both as an option somehow. We'll look at how we could include it without cluttering the interface

Liked how the iTour progressed and it was very succinct and easy to understand.
It's also great how it uses the actual system and not a pre-recorded video.
My one suggestion would be to maybe show more than one type of task. Would that be possible? It would only add a little more time to the overall tour experience. Keep up the great work guys!

Hi James, thanks for the suggestion! We will try to make it a bit more useful without making it too long

Also, found a small bug: when I left the tour and then continue to browse the page, it continues the tour after a couple of seconds. Perhaps a sticky cookie with tour state?

Thanks for mentioning Alexander - we will see what we can do to get it fixed

Content
- In Step 1, it shows "Crowdholding", but then gets me to "Live Sweaters"
- Find a better example? "Which alcohol fits xyz" may not make the platform appeal to everyone
- The tour doesn't explain how many yupies are assigned to a task (the reward) and how it maps to comment votes

Overall
- Loading time between steps is a bit too high, occasionally I got the regular page and then the tour overlay continued. Makes it appear a bit laggy.
- UI: very white in white and the help text bubble is not too visible, perhaps consider different color or font size for it?
- Any chance to incorporate click positions into the tour? When it switched to newsfeed, it wasn't clear that this would be the result of a click on the "home" button.

Timing / Length
- Seems about right to me.
