Mobile signatures: What wallets via mobile you use to connect to web 3 Dapps?

Hello Crowdholders,

As you may know, when it comes to Ethereum web 3 Dapps via desktop, today you primarily use Metamask to sign the contract and become a connected user (decentralized sign up process). You can see how it looks below via a web 3 application.

For Ethereum we noticed CryptoKitties uses Trust Wallet for mobile connection. But what other options are out there?

Your experience of the best sign up practices for web 3 dapps will be important to us!

Today's task involves mobile signup processes you have used in the past. Which ones are the most user-friendly in your mind that you have accessed? Keep in mind, CrowdClick will be a progressive web app via a web browser on your phone, not a downloadable application for the start.

Questions to consider:

  • What wallets have you used to do a signature to connect a web 3 application via mobile?

  • Do you have an interesting web 3 progressive website examples you can share with us?

We look forward to your knowledge!

Cheers,

CrowdClick Team

What I learned for the last three years about coins is that neither mobile nor web wallets are secure. So in the end I bought a Trezor for the handcarry and I use Metamask as my web wallet. Since I've been hacked into my mobile wallet twice, I do think any wallet for mobile is never safe for hacking.

Metamask only

I used MEW via website and Coinomi via mobile app.

  • Do you have an interesting web 3 progressive website examples you can share with us?

Yes, I think Brave is doing a successful campaign and it will be one of the solutions to keep an eye in the near future.

The wallet that i have used for both bitcoin and eth transactions and also other crypto transactions are:

1. blockchain for bitcoin, etherum, stellar and others.

2. my metamask which is my most favorites.

3. my ether wallets.

4. aeternity wallet mobile.

5. mcoin mobile wallets.

these are like the main ones, i have many others but they are usually wallets that are in crypto exchanges and other sites where i work with cryptocurrency.

for me, the best is metamask which is followed by blockchain.

If you need to see more and know more about Dapps this is a link to a website that has all of them Dapps wallet

At the beginnig I was using the Coinbase wallet as it has integrated web3 interface, but now I don't use it anymore.

I switched to Metamask, because I use the Brave browser at the moment.

My best dApps are bounties.network and Kitties of course!

All the best, hope it helped :)

The Opera+Crypto mobile browser is absolutely incredible. It's actually a smoother integration of Web3 than anything else out right now (including the Brave Desktop Browser!). Only supports Ethereum blockchain right now but unless you are building on Tron or some weird chain, shouldn't matter (it even supports testnets).

Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed!

I have used a bunch of wallets myself, such as Blockchain and metamask. I've equally used uphold.

Personally, I love it when a wallet sign-up page has other options apart from email sign-up. It really sucks to have to create a password and remember it every single time. Also, if I use a service like Google sign up instead, switching from my phone to my computer also signs me into my wallet, without me having to go pick up my phone where I left it.

Important project , i am sure it has a great future and i am happy to participate.

I also have Trust wallet which was easy to sign up for. I haven't transferred any coins around so I don't get much use--yet--! I also have the Aeternity base dapp but again, haven't used it yet.

Crowdholding was the start of all crypto for me.i partict in most tasks, therefore I have tried some things I would have never known abt otherwise. Brave browser is a big one for me. I use it quite a bit. I also have Trust wallet which was easy to sign up for. I haven't transferred any coins around so I don't get much use--yet--! I also have the Aeternity base dapp but again, haven't used it yet. So far, everything I've earned on CH is still on CH. I use the Pynk.io from the task on here also. I'm still learning and one of these days I may transfer some earnings but I'm in no rush for that.

Oh, wallets! I don't have many. I've got about 4 of them: Blockchain, Guarda, Magnum and Metamask wallets. When I was starting out with crypto, I used to have a Myetherwallet mobile app for ERC-20 tokens but I didn't understand much about ethereum-based tokens and deleted the app from my phone. Ignorance is expensive, right? These days, I use Metamask for all my ERC-20 tokens. A few weeks ago I received some ETHPLO tokens into my Metamask by placing my address in their Telegram group. I didn't know bots could do that. My Guarda wallet also supports ERC-20 tokens but I haven't used it for that before.

- What wallets have you used to do a signature to connect a web 3 application via mobile?

Metamask. However, others use the Mist browser, Opera browser beta and Status. These can function similarly to Metamask and are quite popular. But Metamask is by far the most common (and easiest in my opinion) to use and I'll suggest you include it among your list.

- Do you have an interesting web 3 progressive website examples you can share with us?

Yes of course. Brave. Brave allows the integration of the Metamask wallet on their site. This is the one I'm most familiar with - and Cryptokitties of course. There are a host of other DApps that you can find on href="https://stateofthedapps.com ">stateofthedapps.com

This is good, for me I have got a lot of wallets that I have opened but, since I use my laptop more often I tend to use meta mask to handle all of my transactions. And then I also noticed that you can use the app on phones, because it has a mobile version also, so I use the same thing also.

Another wallet that I have and use include my ether wallet which I use also, and also steemit account, I have more than 30 different wallets but most of them are contained in exchanges and some don't support erc-20 tokens.

I searched online and I found a long list of dapps wallet and was surprised to see that basic attention token (bat) was the first. It is nice to see many of them also, there are also many there that I have not seen nor heard of, a nice list though.

Still going through it to get more idea about it. Will post more about it soon.

Just a common Crypto enthusiast.. Wait crypto is not common it's special :)

Interesting task and a very relevant one as new tokens and coins are gaining popularity with each passing day.

When I started collecting crypto I had bought a Trezor to transfer all the BTC and ETH I bought through my coinbase account. Once I started buying BAT, XLM I realized using Trezor was getting complicated so I bought Ledger Nano. Next I joined Crowdholding, Publish0x, Bounty0x and started receiving many new cryptos. When I first transferred my YUP from crowdholding I lost them, as unknowingly i sent them to my wallet which did not support it. I was also participating in many Airdrops and collecting new tokens on my mobile. It was slowly getting chaotic to mange. I have now settled down on a 2 way approach:

  1. Metamask for Web based transfer-   I store all the tokens I receive from web based transfer like Minds MNDS, Crowdholding YUP, Bounty0x BNTY on my Metamask.
  2. Coinbase Wallet for mobile based Transfer- Note that this is different from Coinbase app which you use to by crytpo on their exchange. This is a separate wallet app that accepts all ERC 20, ERC 721 collectibles and Web3 Dapps. This is very helpful as recently I got some bounties which had their own wallets like Banano and Helios. It was good to have this wallet so I can consolidate all collectibles at one place. I have now integrated my Coinbase wallet and Metamask wallet so when required I can move my coins between them

My only concern is I don't feel 100% safe using a mobile based or web based wallet and hope Trezor or Ledger come up with a hardware wallet for ERC 20, ERC 721 and Web3 Dapps.

Sam, I have not moved any of my earnings here to anywhere else. Do you recommend I move them or keep it all here? I've been on CH for about 6 most so I've accumulated a bit....just asking for your opinion.

Hey Karen.. just saw this message as I was travelling last week.
I strongly recommend you to move your tokens to Metamask as it is ERC20 token compliant and you will get your own seed key for safety. Crypto hackers are getting more sophisticated each day and no site or exchange is 100% safe from hackers. They usually target larger accounts so leaving large amount of tokens is always dangerous. If you also have ETH, BTC and LTC then it's better to get a cold wallet like Trezor/ Ledger else Metamask will be sufficient for all the tokens you earn on crowdholding.
