What revenue streams should we incorporate?

Hello Crowdholders,

Crowdclick is in day 3 of the Starfleet accelerator. You can also read Starfleet’s most recent article where Crowdclick is featured. So far it’s been a great experience and has had us dive deeply in our business model. From that we have come up with some revenue models.

In case this is your first time hearing about Crowdclick. Make sure to watch our two videos explaining about the product. You can view them here on our Youtube channel.

So let's dive into them:

Our core revenue model:

We take a 10% cut for when a publisher deposits ETH

  • Why: simplistic action to receive revenue within the publisher flow
  • How: 10% cut coded in the smart contract

Recent ideas of additional revenue stream spurred from the accelerator workshops:

Monetization with ads (Brave ads)

  • Why: Brave rewards can be selected off or on to see ads (convenience for user) and they earn as well from the ad viewership.
  • How: when Brave ads become available in our region we sign up as an advertiser

Sponsored tasks (pushed to the top) for an additional fee

  • Why: Publisher gets more visibility
  • How: shows up as top task/s in the task feed

Listing fee for companies that want to add their token in the system:

  • Why: Token will receive “purchasing power” for publishers that want to use it and users will signup to a wallet of that blockchain to join the network
  • How: Erc20 will be built in, but development on Crowdclick’s side would need to happen for integrating a new blockchain

So there you have it. Now questions for your consideration:

1) What do you think of the revenue stream ideas that could be put forth in the future?

2) Do you have anything to add or you disagree with?

3) Do you have any additional ideas for a revenue stream?

Thanks! We look forward to seeing your comments!

Cheers,

CrowdClick Team

Since this is a fairly true or false tasks, and since I have used quite some similar sites in the past. I will also say some things due to past experience.

1. Taking a cut when someone deposits really is a downside, as it will discourage persons from depositing and also all the more discourage those that want to deposit large sum into their account. So instead as I have seen in many other ptc, deposit bonus are usually given to those that deposit.

2. As for the others they are very nice and acceptable, but some comments on it.

A. Sponsored tasks should be fully supported as it is a steady and sure source of revenue, and as it will also guaranty that there is always a tasks daily to do.

B. The listing fee should be such that companies should compete to be listed, and as such also increasing the value of the fee thereby creating more revenue.

And you guys should also remember to make it possible to be able to use yup on the site and make crowdholding integrate-able with it.

I like the idea of being able to use Yup

1) What do you think of the revenue stream ideas that could be put forth in the future?

In general everything is commendable and beneficial for the user, in fact, the usability and user-friendly design makes them easy to use so it will facilitate anything when working. For what it does to the obtaining of benefits,
I think more research is needed although the best way seems to be advertising. I'm sure that as time goes by, I think there will be more improvements in revenue streams for platform improvement.

2) Do you have anything to add or you disagree with?

Not in principle. Logically, as time goes by, doubts and problems will arise. The important thing is that you can solve it as soon as possible and in an effective and efficient way.

3) Do you have any additional ideas for a revenue stream?

Perhaps a succession of reward events in the most important social networks such as Facebook, Tweet, Instagram, but especially in Medium, Bitcointalk and Reddit (the most popular among blockchain professionals) in order to attract as many interested investors as possible.

This is a good development which shows that progress is being done and implemented on the website.

but the first thing that caught my attention is the part that says that a 10% cut will be collected fo reach deposit is quite a negative implementation if i am to [put it like that, i will say that there is supposed to be a deposit bonus when a deposit is being made and not a cut when deposit is made. The aim is supposed to be to encourage more people to deposit rather than scare the person away.

Sponsored ads are also very supported as it will increase the tasks on the average on the site.

listing for companies i also encourage as the companies will get more from the listing so will be willing to pay so.

the brave rewards will it replace the default of the brave ads from the brave broswer, so will the brave ads be able to show on any browser. or will an addon be needed to run the brave extra ads?

for now, i don't have any thing to add but i think that this will go a long way to increase the exposure of 5the crowdholding site also good work. so they do the site to integrate crowdholding in some way.

I think that ideas are pretty well. In the end for project to be profitable and grow, it needs to generate revenue. However, as always a lot will depend on the number of the users. Even Facebook would have been nothing without its users.
So first of all you must get your product to as wide audience as possible. As ecosystem grow also does all the parts of it.

What is the best way to get to the widest possible audience?

that users that are also on crowdholding can also publish their project here from the crowdholding site directly for an extra fee, this will generate more traffic to the suite and also more way to earn from.

I like it. We need more traffic to crowdholding.

I like what you've got so far. Here's just one more idea for a little extra: put aside something like 5%-10% of the revenue for staking. I understand that there are some companies and sites that will pay you interest for hodling. Celsius Network is one of them. I think also Coinbase or Binance have such programs. You can earn passive income on your passive income.

Karen M guru

I don't think coinbase has that

Karen M guru

Coinbase just recently added Tezos, Tezos pays interest. I think it's 5.6%. once some start paying interest, I think more will catch on and do the same to stay competitive. That will be good for hodlers everywhere.

be happy if even 1000 or 2000 people partcipate as it means more publicity at a small cost. Here you can split your revenue in two parts. First a campaign deposit which will be fixed and you create a landing page with instructions

possible sources. They seem to be popular. Brave is also growing. I like that you are upfront with your fees. Also, have you considered any of the vloggers, especiallyalready rewarding uses of their browser with BAT for viewing ads. I think I'll need more information to appreciate that point.o give bonuses to those that are depositing eth, because the sender will also bear the responsibility of the transfer fee, so taking another 10% is kinda a bad way to start.

Goalken, are you for real? I see you are new here, but just read the task, and respond with what is asked. It's not difficult.

1. First of all, I agree with the current pursuit of profit, but I think more research is needed on how to make a profit. For revenue sources, advertising will be the best, but I believe that linkage with the Internet market is also necessary.

2. I think it's good to have a publisher intentionally deposit ETH, but why would you give a 10% discount? I don't agree.

3. First of all, the number of subscribers is very important. Thus, there is a need to increase the number of subscribers. In other words, I would like to suggest that CrowClick increase the number of subscribers with additional advertisements by running bounty events on SNS (Facebook, Tweet and others).

The idea is cool, the revenue generation options are fair enough. Being transparent with the fees is a total deal maker for me...

I suggest getting more partners or partnership deals will go a long way to keep the project in the spotlight

Karen M guru

Any ideas on how to do that?

1. everything is very nice and reading through it I will say that it will not put a strain on the user and will make the site and the project to be easily adopted by those that will be very interested I the project. all the revenue method there are very good and I like them.

2. I want to ask why money will be deducted for depositing eth, that will discourage persons from depositing money there, I don't think that is good because the person will also use the money to pay for ads i will say that the more prudent means will be to give bonuses to those that are depositing eth, because the sender will also bear the responsibility of the transfer fee, so taking another 10% is kinda a bad way to start.

3. I will say that users that are also on crowdholding can also publish their project here from the crowdholding site directly for an extra fee, this will generate more traffic to the suite and also more way to earn from.

This is good, but I really don't like the cut fo the 10% of eth deposited. and I think that the site should also be made to be very integrated with the crowdholding main site.

I agree 10% is high, but I think some type of fee is necessary, maybe 2-3%

I'm sugar, spice and everything nice

Nice concept. The subscription fee seems fair enough but is that a one time thing or for everytime a publisher deposits?

You should definitely add advertising fees as an additional revenue stream. Brave ads are currently not available globally though so unless your focus is on certain geographical locations, it would be better to just have third parties run ads and promotions for a fee.

You've built a working model that needs to be tested for efficiency. There would definitely be a need for improvement and maybe remodeling in the future but so far it all looks good on paper.

I think these are good ideas.  Brave Ads and Sponsored tasks fee to place in the top are the two best ideas in my view.

Just a common Crypto enthusiast.. Wait crypto is not common it's special :)

I like your model and the revenue generation options you have considered.

Your approach is similar to Coinbase Earn, they show a video followed by a set of simple questions linked to the material and successful answer gets you the token. People learn and also earn, everyone is happy.

Coming to the revenue options your model is well designed to support small campaign with a small user base eg. 100-200 users each gets $0.50 for a set of questions. So for a $500 campaign you get $50 and if you a large number of campaigns every month this model will make decnet money.

But for the future you need to think of ways to Scale Up. Add flexibility for larger campaigns who do not want to put a limit on number of users to 100 or 200 and will be happy if even 1000 or 2000 people partcipate as it means more publicity at a small cost. Here you can split your revenue in two parts. First a campaign deposit which will be fixed and you create a landing page with instructions for the users what all they need to check on the site, what kind of info they should read in advance, what should they research about the company. Then you can charge a 5-10% fee from the rewards which will be given to users. You can make the offer better for companies that upto 200 users you charge 10% and 200-500 5% etc.

Second suggestion is don't limit to ETH, and try to reward in the project tokens. This will be better for creating awareness and use of tokens. Also the companies will prefer this. The fixed fee you can keep in ETH. If the company doesn't have it's own token ready then they can use ETH by default.

All the best. I am eagerly waiting for launch of your platform.

I like what you have accomplished so far. This project is  a work in progress and over time you will get more revenue. Slow and steady is good for startups to make sure you work out any bugs that may arise. May I suggest PublishOx as well as Medium as possible sources. They seem to be popular. Brave is also growing. I like that you are upfront with your fees. Also, have you considered any of the vloggers, especially those about crypto?

1) What do you think of the revenue stream ideas that could be put forth in the future?

For a start, they are very commendable. As time goes on, I believe more improvements will be made concerning revenue streaming to improve the platform. I think a few years from now we'll look back and say "Was that Crowdclick 5 years ago?" and probably laugh about it.

2) Do you have anything to add or you disagree with?

Presently, no. However, I think other problems will start to arise as people begin to use the platform and this will be a better determinant of disagreements.

3) Do you have any additional ideas for a revenue stream?

You can consider a partnership with mainstream research institutions, organizations, survey sites, etc. just like you did with Brave and Aeternity. This way, there'll be a constant influx of tasks, surveys, etc. all the time and you wouldn't have to wait for people to opt to use Crowdclick before making some revenue.

Oh I get it now. The Verge cryptocurrency! I don't think they share any commonality with Cryptotask unless of course, they want a bit of anonymity.

Is a very great idea. I'm really impressed with the various types of revenue models presented.  I will like to suggest that we divide them into categories ie individual Publishers and corporate Publishers and try to have different percentage cuts for each.

With regards to monetizing the brave ads. I don't know how it will work since brave is already rewarding uses of their browser with BAT for viewing ads. I think I'll need more information to appreciate that point.

Sponsored tasks to the top is OK.

listing fee for companies which have their tokens is very loud because not only does that get people to visit their website but gives them more exposure.

2 . Besides my suggestions, I agree with everything.

Being an advertiser for Brave sounds promising, this way publishers can earn from ads too. I would recommend to get on the same page with the development of DApps and integrate into your system. Soon the DApps ARe going to live their golden age, with limitless possibilities
