Hello Crowdholders,

We would like to inform you that we are coming close to finishing development for the new CryptoTask website! Now it’s time for you to help us test the site itself.

Before you ever deploy a progressive web application, it’s development procedure to first place it on a staging server to test for bugs and usability. Thus, we want you to do just that!

Your job:

Please use on desktop only, currently we are still building the responsiveness for mobile.

Go through the signup process as a user and fill out each tab. The process should take you roughly 15 minutes. Please go to this link to begin.

After you have completed the signup process, please leave your feedback.

Questions to consider:

Did you find any bugs?

How was the whole experience of preparing your freelance account?

Did we miss anything in your mind?

Important: After you write your comment here on CH, copy it and paste it to our community Telegram chat to be qualified to receive your YUP rewards.

Thank you! We look forward to reading your comments.

All the best,

CryptoTask Team

Sorry for typing this late on after going through the website I noticed that everything is working well and working the way it should be, as others here also I thought that the site has been launched until I discover that the website has not been lunched.

what I noticed on the website include:

1. I didn't noticed any bug in the process that I followed.

2. there is a need to add more skill set in those that have to do with administration and community management, I think that this is a niche that is growing towards this.

3. skills that have to do more directly with crypto-currency and blockchain can also be added to push more for this.

4. and also some more design to make the page look catching it looks like its too white.

More success to this project.

I did not encounter any bugs signing up./ And the experience was pretty painless. One thing that might be worth considering is that when choosing the signup option that a clearer definition of freelancer and client is provided on the sign up page, or possibly the option to to choose both, as you may be a freelancer who also requires freelancing services.

wow, very good update when I entered the site and went through the steps, at first I thought that the website has been launched officially until I realized that there are still some things that still need to be done concerning the website.

I think that the skill section is still small and does not cover many sectors, even though in the gross sense it covers all, sometimes specific are better to further show the niche that a freelancer is specialized in.

The website is good to go, even though it is launched at this stage the other updates can be added as time goes on. nice work done.

i also thought that the site has been lunched too, they have done well.

I was just wondering if having the profile photo is necessary for a cryptotask site. I think if it's not a social networking site with the whole Facebook vibe, such a platform should focus on efficiency and not the face behind the profile. Blockchain was created for privacy and anonymousity afterall

Signup: I tried uploading a PNG for my picture, it didn't seem to save for some reason. Everything else went smoothly. I also applied for the T1000 terminator job

Signup: I tried uploading a PNG for my picture, it didn't seem to save for some reason. Everything else went smoothly. I also applied for the T1000 terminator job.

Experience: the site is very very simplistic. Almost too simplistic. Did I understand correctly that this isn't so much a "bidding" site, but more of a fixed-price offer site by the person who is hiring? Otherwise, there should be an option like on other freelance sites to view submitted bids (or even if they are private, to know that they exist). Site runs smooth but I don't know, it just feels like it's lacking so much content, too much whitespace. There's this "empty" feel. I wonder if it's just me or if anyone else is picking up on it (or if it will change when the site is packed with content). It's true that a site that is too busy looking is not a good thing, but the opposite extreme also isn't desirable. Maybe something to consider.

Questions/paradoxes/missed-things: will payment be Crypto only? Will the site have an internal wallet or will we connect Web3 style like ethlance used to do before it died?

Posting to Telegram now. Good luck - keep is all updated!

Completed the sign up process. The initial registration went smoothly. I hit a few bumps when I logged in to set up my profile. First, a picture that I dragged onto the upload page never loaded. Second, when I attempted to save my Basic infomation on the profile when the dragged picture didn't load, I reached an error. I think the error was code 400 or something (but I already forgot - should've taken a screenshot).

Then, I uploaded a bitmoji picture for the profile. When I reached the end of the sign up, the bitmoji picture wasn't saved. I went back to the start, and had to redo everything. None of the rest of the info I put in stayed in the profile when I navigated back to the Basic information page using the left-hand navigation links. After going through that twice, I finally just submitted without a picture.

Wondering if you've set it up so that it must be a photo? If so, it'd be nice to get an error message saying the file can't be used. Otherwise, the photo upload function isn't used.

Part of the reason I didn't screen shot the error message I received was that I planned to go back and edit my profile later. After I submitted my profile, clicked the "edit profile" button, and nothing happened. So couldn't even go back to try again.

Seems there's several bugs in the profile section, at least in my experience. I am using a pretty much brand new lenovo idea pad with Windows 10, Chrome browser, if that's of any help.

Thanks for sharing the progress. Looking forward to see the full site up and running.

I have signed up on the site it was quite easy and the question was very straight forward, i really did finish everything in less than 15minutes though.

For me, i will say that the site is too white and the spaces around make the web page looks too blanks, i will say if more engaging colours can be used on the site to make it more pleasing to the eyes.

i even applied for a job, so i want to ask though if the site has officially being lunched or they are still in the development stage, i really that the site is good to go because everything on the site seem to be very good and working well.

i didn't notice anything from my end, i opened the page on the brave browser though and the whole process went well.

will be coming back from time to time to time to check the update there, and get more use to using the website.

I went through the sign up on my desktop. i do hope you make it available on smart phones because I believe more folks use  phone over a desktop. The process was smooth and easy to follow.Everything is spelled out for the user. I did not detect any bugs. anyone who sets up an account with cryptotask will be ready for actual freelance jobs.

Just a common Crypto enthusiast.. Wait crypto is not common it's special :)

Just finished registering on the site. I must say the whole process was very well structured and easy to follow.

I did not find any bugs, but have the following suggestions to improve the user experience:

  1. Skills for each Role: There are some Roles like "Writing" which have no associated skills to select. This can be confusing for the users. It will be better to add some categories so select genre or experience level in writing
  2. Search Filter: You can add a section for Advanced search settings where user can give range about the job duration and the price range they are interested in
  3. Search Error: You might want to do some more testing on search results, as sometimes when I will enter the name of a company in search field it will not give any results but I could see this company on my landing page.

Overall I like your approach of becoming the Crypto Linked-In.

I like you're idea of skills for each role. I think it'd be more beneficial to the user to have the skills clearly sorted by role also.

I signed up and confirmed email. Completed profile and published. It was smooth and took less than 15 minutes. I didn't identify any bugs. I will keep visiting the website to see if I missed anything. Once I do, I will give another feedback. Until then, great job.

Kaaba, is this something you can use for you agriculture business?

I signed up and confirmed my account via email. While entering my profile info, I realised that going back to a former task meant losing the info you already stated. For example, after uploading my resume I didn't continue to the next thing but I clicked on the profile link to upload my profile pic because I hadn't done so earlier. When I went back to the work experience, my resume was gone and I had to upload it again. I think the whole process should have a draft feature involved. After entering some info, it is saved automatically as a draft and then you continue.

Then again, after publishing my profile, why can't I edit it? I've clicked the edit profile several times but all to no avail. Or is it still work in progress? The jobs placed over there are commendable although as a writer, I don't find any jobs in my niche. I'm waiting for the total upgrade of the site because from all indications, the opportunities are going to be massive.

Is it a veta-version? I have logged on to the CryptoTask website (https://app.dev.cryptotask.org) and done sign-up for a freelance account, and no bugs were found in the whole process. With Basic Info, Skill & Service and Work Experience options, it was very easy to go through the whole process.
Overall, I'm happy with it, but I hope you have a more detailed list of Skill & Service and Work Experience optiions.
