The most popular freelance category of expertise within the crypto industry would be back end developers. It seems to be the job required within the industry which is most suited to freelancing as you can go from one startup to the next in a relatively short space of time for high rewards.

1. i have done and finished the survey, contained very simple and straight to the point questions.

2. for me whatever skill that you have currently in the crypto community will be a very big asset to you in the future, but i will say that since people are finding better ways to take their product to the world and to find better investors for  their product i will say that social administrators and content creators will be in hgh demand in the nearest future in the crypto community. and also in high demand now in the crypto space.

i really like the surevy it was a lot of fun and it was straight to the point, looking forward to hearing more from this.

I think there are quite a few key areas which would be of interest to people in the cryptocurrency industry freelance scene.

1> Freelance progammers - programming is such an in demand skill right now and I do believe their is good opportunites for people who have this key crypto skill to profit well from freelancing.

2> Blogging/social media/ telegram management. all these types of medium are good to help cryptocurrency projects build up their user base and effective use of social media and marketing is a big bonus for many companies especially new ones who cannot afford a large team of social media managers

3> Graphic design. Many companies would be looking for one off work without the commitment of taking on a permanent staff member for help with design aspects of logo design/website graphics and icons etc.

Graphic design skills is a definite need.

Hello and good luck with your projetct.

I did fill out your survey, and I think there are a lot of possibilities for freelancers with cyropto. Getting wegsites ready, customer service, technical assistence for miners, . I am no technican but I think software/hardware/personal assistance related task are for sure available in the whole coins world right now. I could imagine one right now, lol: a freelancer for sorting the coin list every day new with all this new coins rising.

Sorry I could not give more details, knowledge still missing.

I think it would be difficult for an individual, rather than a computer program to sort the coin list every day. Do you see how often the prices change?

Don't forget to use your upvotes. You will earn from that too.

I've seen some job/freelance crypto projects passing by in the crypto world during the time it exists. All of them were focused on high educated jobs in the ICT software development sector which is of course the number one in open jobs to apply to,. also outside of the crypto atmosphere. While when i look in the android apps for asked freelance jobs available, i see most common freelance jobs are in the catering industry, means no/low education jobs. What i am clearly missing here are for example jobs in the manufacturing industry and a lot of administrational kind of jobs. Most popular in crypto,  to answer the question straight is software/network developer/engineer.

But there are so many other jobs and sectors that people will be looking for, if they would be out there. Having the complete spectrum added in a crypto environment will have more people introduced in the crypto thing and will make them more curious about the payment system too. Afterall we need to take over the monetary fiat system with cryptocoins.

Social media  category is good to freelance job. This category will quickly help a project. So in my opinion it will be very popular.

Following and partly working in the crypto industry for more than 5 years, I see potential for the following disciplines in the crypto industry to do freelance work (ordering from high to lower potential):

  1. Security consultants
  2. UX Designer
  3. UI Designer
  4. Marketing
  5. Sales
  6. Community manager
  7. Tester
  8. Developer

As the crypto industry is still in its infancy, currently we see a lot of need for developers, but I think that will change in the next couple of years.

The I.T sector has to be the most important factor for the overall success of cryptocurrencies. So that would take into account things like design, coding, online advertising and much more.

Explaining to the masses how the blockchain works and why it has such a vast possibility is key in building the use of crypto. Most new people are using it as an investment tool rather than a currency. The understanding of it would broaden its scope.

I think the developer of blockchain could be the main independent work.

Who doesn't dream of a secure career and a stable professional life? A good salary, a stable job and the development of a professional career is the dream of every individual. To keep up with today's fast-growing competitive market and to stay ahead of the crowd, it is essential that one is well versed in the latest technology and equipped with the innovation and discoveries that are unfolding in the universe. Blockchain is the latest technology that is on the way to laying the foundation for a decentralized future. As a result, Blockchain has become a field that has flourishing job opportunities. There is a great demand for Blockchain talent.

As previously mentioned Blockchain is a growing field, and offers a great job opportunity. The increasing demand for talent for Blockchain has led to technology being the fastest growing of the 5000 skills in the market today. A Blockchain developer in the U.S. can earn about $158,000 per year compared to other software developers who earn $105,000 per year. The scope of the work is not limited to full-time work, but at the same time, a demand is emerging for freelance blockchain developers who can earn $150 per hour. Singapore has Blockchain developers who are millionaires and are paid in ethers.

To be a Block Chains Developer, you must have a passion for business, an understanding of computer language, and a zeal to create something innovative. In addition to this, there are specific skill sets that you must possess. In this blog, I will emphasize the prerequisites for becoming a Blockchain developer.

Companies, looking for Blockchain talent, hire candidates for numerous positions. You need people with a deep knowledge of Blockchain, with experience in the creation and management of distributed ledgers, able to implement Blockchain in various areas, and so on.

Most of the companies are formed by a team of developers and professional experts of blockchains. These guys are expected to know the principles of the Blockchain system along with strong software development skills.

Essentially, a freelance job is one where a person works for themselves, rather than for a company. While freelancers do take on contract work for companies and organizations, they are ultimately self-employed.

Survey filled. A crypto freelance website would be used by crypto users, who are usually very tech adept. I think the most popular categories would be those currently pumping ICOs: software development, marcom, translation, community management.

But if you ask me, the best way to go about crypto adoption would be to make it user friendly for FIAT users as well, and to just be an all-around great freelance website, enough to compete with Uplace, Feelancer and Fiver. Projects should be paid in crypto but people should be able to buy/charge their account with crypto through the site so they don't have to deal with the acquisition of the coins, which is probably the most significant barrier to adoption by the lay man at the moment.

Crypto enthusiast and in love with travelling

It seems that today everybody wants to be a freelancer. It is of course basically nothing wrong with that, but the problem is when so many people is doing that kind of work they tend to set lover price to get the business and because of that all have to lower the price. Which is good for customer, but of course means less income for freelancers.

The key to success as a freelance is so by my opinion to be better than majority in the area in which you are freelancing and also to properly respect yourself and not work below the good price. But of course, if you want to work like that you have to be good. There will always be demand for skilled freelancers and fair amount of customers which will be prepared to pay higher price to get the top quality.

With the crypto industry I believe many kinds of freelancers would be in demand, for example programmers, content writers, social media managers etc. The reason for that is that crypto in general is at the moment still very volatile and companies grow and die very fast. So because of insecurity many will not be able to afford fully employed personnel and will instead rather hire freelancers and pay them by-project.

The contemporary crypto economy became too eclectic to have some certain “most popular” expertise, as for me. But a number of specialists will always be in a significant demand in crypto.

- blockchain developers;

- specs for statistic data processing (R language);

- experienced crypto traders (pump-&-dump expertise);

- prolific observers of crypto environment;

- creators of an “around-blockchain” content;

One special category of specialists should be emphasized separately – insightful crypto-visionaries capable of creating revolutionary new concepts that moves the whole crypto industry forward. This is rather avocation than expertise. IMHO

10 months ago

I think that the most popular freelance category of expertise within the crypto industry is Blockchain Expert.

10 months ago

I find that there's a genuine need for all kinds of freelance work paid for in cryptocurrencies. I would imagine that programming could take an early lead, followed by design and other content production. However I am leaning towards the enterprise sector hiring administrators, skilled workers, lawyers and consultants as freelancers as well.

10 months ago

Karen M guru

Design could be a good one! Just looking at CH, there were very few posts for any design graphic tasks. That tells me not many of us( me included) have the know-how for graphic design.

10 months ago

In my opinion, jobs like data analyst and editors of educational information articles would be the best as freelancers in the world of cryptocurrencies. On the one hand, we need experts in AI and Bigdata in order to study the big chains of blocks. On the other hand, since little is still known about Blockchain, more information and many more educational classes would be needed to integrate the whole society.

Don't listen to me because of who I am, I'm nobody like everone else.

The obvious answer to the most popular category would probably be programmer. Other people have said that and I'd guess there is a good chance its right. But personally I'm not sure all that many blockchain programmers, as a proportion of the total, are working as freelancers actually. I think a lot of the time the work that is available requires more of a longer term commitment than that.

Since there are so many bounty hunter types and so much need for outreach, marketing and education I would say perhaps the most popular freelance category would be writing or social media marketing or something like that.

10 months ago

Karen M guru

I agree with the marketing and education aspect. Crypto is still so new & many people aren't on board yet or are very skeptical.

10 months ago

1) I filled out the survey

2)  I think freelancers should have professionalism and the best expertise in the field above all. The blockchain is the key of cryto industry. So, a best technical expertise realted blockchain is a top priority.
Because Crypto industry is also a business, so I think marketing professionals, contents creators, and Dapp developers are the first choice. Additionally PR media manager will also be very helpful to new crypto joiners.

Wow new and many more categories, there will surely be enough job for everyone in the long run.

10 months ago

Karen M guru

I filled out the survey. I think the most popular freelance category related to crypto will be teaching, as in teaching about crypto and all the advantages and benefits. Explaining wallets, exchanges etc because that does get confusing. I think the big jobs like programmer, coding etc will not be freelance work. I believe these freelance jobs would be 'worlk from home' opportunities and they could be done at any hour of day or night, appealing to a larger group of potential freelancers.

10 months ago

Teaching is kinda on the low side these days because many perons kinda do self-study these days.

10 months ago

Karen M guru

Not many people I talk to know much about crypto so if 'peron' means parents, then they don't have the knowledge of crypto to teach it.

De Gem guru

I think the most popular freelance category of expertise within the crypto industry will be blockchain-related. Therefore, jobs within the niches of artificial intelligence, blockchain software engineering, web design, website creation, dApp creation, crypto marketing, crypto mining, etc. will be the norm in the coming years. All other areas such as photography, blogging/writing, vlogging, programming, social media management, graphic design, etc. are already saturated with enough talent and will always be choked. Many people aren't familiar with the concept of blockchain and I believe there will be a serious demand for people with blockchain skills as is evident even now. However, don't forget people like me who love writing/blogging and social media. We might be in the choked sector but we're as equally important.

I think the most popular freelance category would be "developer" and "programmer".

there are kinda too many programmers in the system already, the job will have to flow to other sectors, my opinion though.

10 months ago

1. I will say that content creators will be in higher demand since more things are still been done and needs to be done there will need to do more "thinking out of the box" in order to create more and better content for the continuity of the project and to attract investors.

2. And also administrators, I see that a time will come when projects will need to leave the ordinary to do the extraordinary like, like using other means t go and get investors for their projects like going to organize seminars and workshops to attract the older set, and this will definitely need a lot of planning and administrators, for example, the smart contract project.

but in as much as more things are still to be done, becoming a professional in your area of expertise is the best tool to have at hand.

surely from most of the other comments here, thus will definitely be the most needed category.

10 months ago

One of the most difficult aspects of cryptocurrency is education and understanding exactly what cryptocurrency is. The most common questions asked is "How can Bitcoin be worth anything, if it doesn't actually physically exist?"
Having said that, solving this problem doesn't actually equate to dollars (or crypto) in your pocket. A 'crypto advisor' category needs to exist.
In comjunction with education, we can find the means to teach someone how to use, profit, and trade cryptocurrencies, this can help spread the word and increase adoption and usage. This in turn can be a profitable venture for someone willing to advise, educate and employ the required skills for their clients.
