Hello everyone!

Thanks for all your support and work on previous tasks. If you haven’t yet participated, click here to check out our current live tasks.  For this task, you are going to be the first to see our new UI design for the product.

We used the program Invisionapp to design the UI layout which includes the following page designs:

  • Landing page

  • Signup

  • Post Job

  • Browse freelance

  • Browse jobs

  • Job description

  • My Jobs

Keep in mind, these are mockup designs, not the application and must be viewed on desktop. Design will be cropped to mobile in the future as we put together the front end build. In addition, this first mockup showcases the basics, and does not go into detail of the reviewers side and UX according to the work that is done with the use of smart contracts. This dives more into how the organization (client) and freelancer posts/accepts jobs, and showcases themselves.

Instructions:

  1. Click the link here to access the mockup (To identify what links to click, select anywhere on the screen and the clickable links will be highlighted in blue for your navigation).

  2. Go through each page thoroughly and imagine yourself in the shoes of both a client or freelance user.

  3. Copy your comment on CH and post on our Telegram chat in order to get the rewards.

Questions:

What do you think of the design?

Any improvement suggestions?

We look forward to your feedback!

All the best,

CryptoTask Team

What do you think of the design?

  • The design is beautiful and attractive, and it marks every reading point very well. The UX is easy to use, intuitive and userfriendly.

Any suggestions for improvement?

  • The only thing I would add is the tag search to be able to search faster according to main characteristics (tasks, skills, experience, and so on).

there are many issues and bugs that are in the site so better open a bounty program and anyone participate in it send you the bug that find and you can reward them on it. I dont think uploading a task here of this scale will help you as i have seen it in the past as well.

Overall, I like it a lot.

Something strange:

On the view profile page from a company point of view you have sometimes 3 tabs and sometimes 2. My Profile, Projects and Experience. My profile disappears sometimes.

Options to improve:

  1. Make skill sets something fixed that people can click on. That way you don’t have to look for Copywriting, copy writing, Copy writer and copywriter to just find the right jobs. If it is fixed, everyone will use the same option.

2. The experience part for freelancers isn’t very useful the way it is set up right now. Meaning; I have worked as a freelancer for the last 10 years, but never for a regular company, nor for a fixed client. Mainly for job sites. Trying to put that under experience is difficult, and may make me seem worse than others who have worked for regular companies.

I would instead make that part “Projects or Skills you want to highlight”.

3. If at all possible, it would be great if when you apply and fill out your personalized message to the client, the job description is on the same page, right beside it. For a great proposal you should always use the client description as your base and going back and forth between different pages is annoying, and scrolling up is even worse.

4. If possible, you could have 1 account with several profiles as a freelancer? For example: if a freelancer does both writing and marketing. They could create a marketing profile to send to marketing companies and a writing profile to send to writer jobs. Nothing hidden and no secret profiles, just an easier way to only send relevant information.

5. What I couldn’t see is payment options. Is there an escrow option? Do you have to agree yourself with the client how and when you are paid? Is this mainly freelance or also fixed work?

6. Within the job overview it would be great if you could sort on time, free and how old the job posting is. It would also help to see how many have already applied, and if the company is interviewing but open for new applications, interviewing and not open, or interviewing and not receiving applications at the moment.

7. It would be great if you could set up in which currency you are open to paying/receiving and be able to only view jobs/freelancers who match that currency.

What do you think of the design?

-For the landing page: The Design is simple I like it so much and easy to understand for anyone awesome user experience.

-Browsing job: Also simple but I think it will be better if I could search to a specific Tag for the search button(and the same for browse freelancer page)

-Browse Freelancer: Links on the landing page are  not working(browser Freelancer on navbar and Link next to 'Featured Freelancer' heading) I couldn't access browsing Freelancers from it you need to add this feature to make it easier to give feedback for this feature.

-Post job,My jobs: I think they are  perfect.

-Sing-up: Add Projects form, I am not sure but on some project you don't need to add  all this info. If the previous is an algorithm or something on embedded system. I think it will be better to provide only link and description to make it easier to add all your projects.

The design is clean and simple, but I am honestly expecting it to be mobile friendly. It would be great if you could publish it with a mobile navigation menu. All images full screen if possible.

So many people use mobile as the main or only internet access, so I agree with Tom.

Your mockup looks good having a business-oriented style - anything unnecessary, nothing irritating.

However, the very intrigue of your project remains hidden – visitors can hardly grasp what in your project is about smart contracts. In fact, the only feature distinguishing your project from the rest online job platforms is relationships through smart contracts, right? So, what other than this should be explicitly emphasized? There should be a separate section (or even a landing page) dedicated to such a revolutionary approach to a labor market as blockchain-based automated job contracts. The section should explain visitors both how to deal with smart contracts and which advantages they bring. Traditionally, such a section is realized via FAQs – why don’t add FAQ page to your website?

I would only comment on the ui of the site. The ui is nice and it's very easy to use and also the color combination is great, but since there is still a lot of work to be done there I will say that you guys should continue with the update and then get back to us later for a review.

And what I really like about the site is the chat option there, and I feel that the chat icon is not just for making complain but for chating with other members of the platform.

And also, I will say that this site came a little bit too early, because most of the users will be wanting to try out the mobile version rather than just the desktop version.

So keep up the good work and get back to us when you are done with more update... Kudos

I finally booted up my desktop for this task! I think the layout/design is fine. Your site is easy to navigate and find each category. Perhaps a bit more color would make it more eye appealing. Maybe each category gets a different color. I believe both the client and freelance user would utilize your site

Perhaps, each category could have it's own color I believe both the client and the freelance user would like to use your site.

I like the basic design of the website, In my humble opinion, it could do with a touch more colour but even a few lines in the blue and green of the Cryptotask SIMPLEVALVES logo would just break up the page a little bit, I  felt this especially when I was in the section which detailed the profile of the freelancer. The page seems to be very basic, so again, some touches of colour would be more eye-catching here.

From what I can see it looks fairly intuitive and the presented process for signing up seems to be pretty straightforward sanitary ball valves and allows the user to get in and start working fairly hassle-free. Overall I didn't really spot any major flaws as I worked through what I felt would be my natural flow through the website as both a job poster and a freelancer sanitary diaphragm valve.

Any improvement suggestions?

Perhaps the option to add images for freelancers, for example, if you have done graphic or illustrative work which would benefit from posting pictures and possibly a bit more scope to customise your landing page for your profile - edit the text so as to make your resume more distinct and personal rather than the basic black and white text. A strong resume is the first point of contact when applying for a job and setting eye-catching fonts, colours etc could allow a freelancer to get some of their personality across. Maybe the CV section could be imported as a powerpoint or word document to this end.

There did not appear anywhere to post a link for your company website on the post a job page. I think that this is essential, especially for long-term jobs in which the freelancer might want to know a bit more about company ideology, products and so forth.

This might be a bit picky but the sentence at the landing page is pretty poorly worded...it says "help" where it should probably say "helping" "solution" and "overhead" and possibly "Standard" should be pluralised. Sorry but spelling and grammar errors on an opening page don't make a great impression in my view so you'd want to reword this.

Perhaps the landing page should have a "featured companies" section as well as the current "featured freelancers" to give companies that post a lot of jobs the opportunity to create a bit of interest n their company. Perhaps the user could click on their company logo to be directed to all their jobs on offer. This way if a company wanted to outsource a lot of work they could rent this space and it would provide a quick link to multiple job roles.

I also didn't see a 'contact us' which is a definite for your landing page, especially on a site such as this which relies on your users and posters being able to trust they can contact you quickly should they have any issues.

Hope this helps. The site looks great.

Awesome comment, thanks a lot - some of these elements will be surely implemented, also the English on the mockup has been corrected. ;)

I am excited about the future of all crypto currency.

The design hit the nail right on the head for being very simple. Some themes for colors could be added. Weird not having logos highlighted and brother/sister companies. An option for finding exactly the skills needed for particular project for client would make searching easier.

The user interface is very simple looking. Even though this helps, I think a touch of other colours will improve the website's aesthetics. I know the job categories aren't finished yet but you chose to put only programming/IT related tasks over there. Can you tell me how diverse your job portfolio is going to be? Will it cover tasks such as creative writing, social media management and email marketing?

The instructions on posting a new job are quite clear and simply laid out. Anyway, I don't see any social media buttons. There should be at least two of them at the bottom or wherever you decide to place them on the site. Or do you plan getting rid of them? To ease out some of your problems, you can introduce chatbots on the website to answer simple questions on the minds of users instead of them having to visit an FAQs section (which you don't have)

Also, I thought the freelancers on the site were actually real ones. Then I realised it was a mock-up design after looking at the freelancer's experience section which gave rise to another question. A lot of freelancers will actually sign up without much experience hoping to build theirs on Cryptotask. What plans do you have for such freelancers considering that another host of freelancers might be very experienced and will always get the top jobs? Moreover, do you have an idea of the kind of competition that will crop up on Cryptotask? I know I'm asking lots of questions but It is for more insight so, please answer them.

What do you think of the design?

I like the design a lot, it looks fresh and clean and is focused onto the major points. The UX is easy to handle, I tried the signup process, which is similar to any major service I tried before (instantly remembered workchain.io - please check them out, in my opinion they are a major competitor of cryptotask)

Any improvement suggestions?

I missed any company logo for job list, usually companies try to distinguish them by showcasing their logo (if they are renowned brands, lots of clicks are assured). On the landing page you place featured freelancers with pictures (which looks nice). In my opinion there should be showcased companies, since there are usually more single freelancers than single companies and the revenue is generated from the companies, while freelancers will not pay for your service (I assume so). Also, how can companies differentiate potential freelancers? If searching and just by pictures, this might become a long process. In the browse freelancer section there are shown the skills, but what I miss is an efficient search where you can select skills, experience, tasks completed, score, location etc.

Both From the freelancer's and the client's point of view, I looked closely at the mock design of your site. I like the design and its contents inside, too. What is the meaning of cryptocurrency in Browse Job? Does it mean the freelancer will be paid as a cryptocurrency? There is a lack of explanation about this point.

Regrarding to the improvement of the mockI suggest to list the Browse Freelancer and Browse Job items in alphabetical order.  Or also it can be divided by occupational group (in alphabetical order of course).

I can't tell if its a live website or images switching as I click. it was fast. it is user-friendly and each task had clear details on what your responsibilities are, what is expected of you and what you get in return.

Registration questions are just fine but adding twitter and facebook to web presence section will be great. I love the design of the final profile look.

browsing through jobs seems easier and looks good from my end. the design is great overall.

I would recommend that registrants be given the opportunity to create personalised background designs like having a distinct background colour etc.

I have been analyzing the platform that you are developing for quite some time, and unlike other platforms, this one is intuitive, simple to use, I had a good experience as a user, looking for a job, and registering, this complete platform, you will be successful with your service.

Do you have a scrow system, a score for those who offer their services and are looking for freelance, do you plan to add something like this in the future?

I am getting a desktop interface on phone. Not the best.

But it looks very simple which is great.
