Galaxia Trial & Errors: What do you think of our next approach?

No YUP/tokens awarded

Quick update for you all at Crowdholding

The original sale on Open Sea didn’t happen because of a bug in our smart contract. We talked to the Open Sea dev team and we’ve been working on a fix.

Luckily the smart contract automatically returns any bids after the auction closed as a security feature.

Another thing we noticed during the sale was the difficulty people had with swapping ETH for WETH (erc20 fixed ETH token) in order to place a bid. Instead, we’ll be using just ETH in the future. This should make it easier for people to buy and sell Galaxia assets on Open Sea.

Our plan going forward is to re-deploy the smart contract and place the planets for sale at a fixed price removing the timed auction approach. This will give buyers more flexibility and allow them to buy planets directly rather can compete against each other.

In other news we’ve been developing the Galactic map and finalising our token contract for planet owner rewards.

We’re also working on integrating the YUP token, so users can buy special edition planets and corporations using YUPs.

Questions to consider:

What do you think of doing a fixed priced approach over an auction?

What are your thoughts on WETH, do you use it?

And additional suggestions?

Thanks for the support and would love to hear your feedback.

Until next time.

Galaxia Team

Hello. I do really love this concept you've developed in Galaxia Game. I believe a fixed price represent a very good chance for users and how they can make their blueprint about what/when to buy. Personally I haven't use WETH so far, but I think using ETH would make things easier and users don't have to worry about how to exchange them.

Wish youthe best Galaxy Team!

by now I don't use WETH but honestly I can consider it for the future. It can be a nice opportunity

wow i have very great hope for this project and i think they will be able to pull through.

1. for me i will say that doing a fixed trade might be better owing to the fact that, if it is done such that the person with the highest bid will be the person that will be able to buy the goods and as such it will be an indirectly fixed auction. it would be better and faster as such. a fixed fixed auction would also work and it would be very fast but the disadvantage that it might cost is that only those with the right amount of money would be able to participate and it results in a good or bad turn up depending the highest number of available persons at that time.

2. if there is a disadvantage in the conversion between the weth and the eth due to loss of time, then both option can be used for the time being such that such persons will be able to participate and this conversion would not become a problem.

3. my additional suggestion is a general suggestion such that it would be better also to do a continuous media publication on the different media to allow visibility to more persons and thus even though the person might not participate in this particular sale he must have known much about it and would be looking ahead to practising or trying out further games.

great works keep it up.

What do you think of doing a fixed priced approach over an auction?

I think to start with you should keep a fixed price approach and once the platform gets more popular and has a dedicated user base you can slowly introduce the aunction concept for some special bonus elements.

Integrating with YUP will mean you will have thousands of active users ready to spend with YUP.

What are your thoughts on WETH, do you use it?

I think WETH will get more popular in the future as more and more people start using ERC20 tokens through crypto sites and realize what the benefits of using WETH over ETH is. Right now awareness level of WETH is very low as not many people are familiar with what it is and what benefit it will provide by complying to ERC 20 standard.

You should use ETH in early stage and later move to WETH. Allowing YUP will also ensure that regulars on Crowdholding already have tokens which can be used on Galaxia.

What do you think of doing a fixed priced approach over an auction?

I think it is better for all of us. So, in the end, when you set a price, what you do is balance the market. Otherwise, the price could fluctuate too much.

What are your thoughts on WETH, do you use it?

I believe that traditional methods are always better, more than anything for comfort and usability. In the end, ETH exists since the beginning of cryptocurrencies and people usually use it and know how to do it. Personally, I have never used WETH or how it works, so it would be a more complicated task to do it. I understand, that for many users the same thing would happen, and maybe it wouldn't help to move forward. However, like many other times, if you want to use yes or yes, you can always put video tutorials.

Don't listen to me because of who I am, I'm nobody like everone else.

I guess it is hard for people to value these things themselves so maybe fixed price is good.

I don't have any problem with WETH and don't think its very hard to use.

My suggestion is that if it is at all possible it would be great if you could get a bit further in game development and have a bit more to show before selling items. I've seen a few games sell items like this or have a more conventional ICO with a token, and then never release anything, or in other cases release something not very good which doesn't live up to the promises, so personally I probably wouldn't buy items for a game at such an early stage.

Fixed price is good. I only use WETH on OpenSea when forced to. I don't find it hard to figure out, you just go to your account and switch between the two, it's not really that difficult. But yes, using ETH directly is a sure thing.

That being said, by far the most exciting thing here for me is the ability to do something with YUP! Can't believe my eyes.

The fixed price approach is good. I personally never used Weth but it always seems like an extra step and time consuming due to gas fees.

Wow so nice to hear from you guys again.

1. For me, the fixed-priced token is like an indirect bargain market because only the buyer with the right amount of money will be able to but the asset and thus this will save time and would also push the buyers to go and get more tokens so that they will be able to buy the planets at the price that was given.

2. i have not come across that before so i did a quick search on it, firstly i dint like their website (lolz). i checked and also discovered that the price of the weth is almost the same as that of eth. but since there is difficulty in conversion i think that eth can be used if it will make for a more smooth transaction.

3. i think that bounty programs can also be done or treasure hunt to make more persons join the program.

bounty and treasure would be a very nice idea.

- What do you think of doing a fixed priced approach over an auction?

A fixed price approach is better in my opinion. Integrating the YUP is even a plus. I'd like to remind you of the fact that with regard to cryptocurrency, people like to keep it simple. If people have Ethereum for instance, they want to use it straight away and not exchange it for other tokens before going ahead to make a purchase. If people could buy or exchange their YUPs for gift cards, souvenirs, etc. they would do so right away. However, if they had to exchange it for another crypto (like BAT for example) before doing that many would hesitate. At least that's what I've discovered.

- What are your thoughts on WETH, do you use it?

Oh no. But from the little I've read about it, it should be easy to use. Maybe you can put some tutorials on how to use it in one of the corporations on Galaxia. I'll definitely check it out.

I think it is desirable to use ETH, which is more familiar to many people. I heard WETH but never thought about it. There are competitions in any auction, but it is doubtful whether a fixed priced approach over an auction is possible. In reality, this kind of auction is possible in special fields like solar energy, but is it possible to buy and sell Galaxia assets on Open Sea? Anyway, I hope that the next sales of the planet based on smart contract will be successful.

I have used WETH before to receive payments and then unwrapped to ETH. I was an pretty easy process converting so I thought the reverse would also be easy.

Auctions have advantages like driving the price up as different buyers bid for it and sometimes get caught in a war for acquisition. On the other hand, auctions can scare some buyers aware. They prefer certainty and would never my a bid.

I think using ETH will be easier. I've not used WETH. Integrating YUP will be great! In fact, that iwill be the best option for crowdholders. We  all have YUP. Sorry to hear the sale didn't work due to technical issues, but good to see you are figuring out a fix. I tried to bid in the prior sale, but wasn't able to. Having a set price as opposed to bidding could be beneficial, but that depends. Are you selling one of each planet? Or can multiple people buy the same planet? I realize with the bidding model, the highest bidder would win. With set price, I guess whoever gets there first gets to buy. I look forward to the next sale.

I have heard of WETH but don't use it. The idea of using ETH in future is highly commendable.
