Hello Crowdholders,

Carry is a platform that connects offline merchants and consumers using blockchain technolgy. Despite the rapid growth of online and mobile commerce, consumption mostly still takes place offline. But the offline commerce market, even with its staggering market size of $25 trillion, still lags behind in technology due to the time and energy it takes to introduce and spread new technology.
We would like you to do some research and look for direct or indirect competitors of Carry Protocol. When you discover a company you see as a competitor, give your assessment on why and compare and contrast between our companies.

Some questions to spark ideas:
How are they a competitor?
Do you see differences that allows us to coexist?
What actions would you take to compete and win the market share?

For more information please check out our fast fact

We look forward to the responses. Cheers.

i'm not a perfect altcoin expert but i have a lot of experience

Think about the market sectors your business is trading within. You should be constantly looking to innovate and fill the gaps with new goods and services. One of the most effective ways to attract customers away from competitors is to not only offer something unique, but something that you know is missing from the market.

Use social media to constantly assess your market. Ask your customers what goods or services they would love to see become available. Your competitors may come along with something similar later, but your business was first to market, which can gain new loyal customers.

I think there are some competitors in your niche, however you can attract the interested community because your project looks genius and also you have some features not really existing in the other competitive projects.

I do both things that measure our entire World => UX & TA

Datum, Instar and Biotron are all products that reward you for your personal data, so they are all competitors, but you got some differences so I think this niche is still completely open for competition. Also after facebook and other sucking our lives and data for free and make tons of money from it, I am already at the point that i only willing to use rewording products (Crowdholding for example). Want to get to the real audience? Reward them now!

Just take a look at my past contributions to projects; you will see value there.

I would say your biggest direct competitor is Pundi X.

Pundi X

- They have basically the same idea (installing devices in offline stores that allows for payment with crypto). The biggest key difference is Carry is aiming to incentivize spenders to share their data while Pundi X does not have that focus at this time. Also, their target market is SE Asia and the "unbanked" demographics that are common there. Despite these differences the practical day to day use of seeing "crypto payment portals" in normal shops is the same between your companies.

- I 100% believe that you can coexist and also benefit from your differences. Both of your companies will benefit greatly from crypto spending going mainstream and becoming a normal everday thing. In fact, you could say that your companies will never take off unless crypto spending hits a certain critical breaking point of mass adoption. Two companies targeting 2 different demographics (in Pundi X's case, the large amount of cash wage work force without bank access dominant throughout SE Asia) adoption can occur at a much faster pace as a country, region, and continent has many facets of the society acclimating to crypto usage.

- I believe one of Carry's strengths is their targeted focus on South Korea and Japan. For increased competitiveness and a slice at the market share pie, I would consider rolling out in rapidly developing SE Asian cities that are quickly becoming tech hotspots with growing, young, educated, tech savvy generations that can be found there. Specifically Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh, and Bangkok come to mind. Please note, that the rapid explosive growth is very concentrated in these main cities and it would be much more wise to focus exclusively on them instead of the entire country in general.

All business has always a competition. And I know your project is great that is why it will always step up it will always exist. There only one thing I can say that enable to compete and win others, you should put it in your mind that you will succeed.
Goodluck.

Critical thinker; finds means to fund solution to problems.

The major competitor found to the best of my research would be the Everus.
One of its products, possibly the main one, is Ethereum-bases ERC20-powered EVR token. The tokens will act as the main currency in the company’s products.
This company also aims at bridging the gap between offline and online transactions using the block chain technology.
DataNoodle is another product. It can be used to make predictive analysis and to understand the user behavior better. Basically, this product is all about using machine learning to predict trends and understand the market better.
Everus also plans on launching a debit card and other features such as the BaaS platform and P2P financing and also would be giving discounts to consumers who make purchases using their token
Another possible competitor is the ARAW token which provides end-to-end solutions for E-Commerce Marketplace, Touch & Pay Cryptocurrency Card, Online Cryptocurrency Payment, and Unified Reward System on the Ethereum Blockchain powered by the ARAW token.
Carry's advantage over these above listed companies would be that it:
- gives customers full control of their purchase history data and let them monetize their data with Carry Token
- affords local stores the ability to issue their own token BT (Branded token) and use it to offer promotions like discount coupons to potential customers who are close to their business sites.
Also, the fact that it is in collaboration with Spoqua, the holding company of Carry Protocol project, which has industry insights as well as big names strategic partners in the retail industry and also has consumer-facing tablets installed in about 10,000 stores in Korea as well as being backed by leading crypto funds like Hashed, Kenetic Capital, Signum Capital and XSQ.
It's reasonably spread social media presence and follower community also gives the Carry protocol a head-on advantage.
Good work guys!

Medium is the message, but it also distorts the message. I solve this!

Modern Finance Chain (MFChain)
- Token. Aimed at both offline and online consumer / merchant relationships, focus on reward system for merchants. Allows ICO start ups, 1% monthly rebate, payment with multiple currencies.
- There's a LOT of overlap here. Obviously coexisting could be possible, but seems unlikely.
- Get the system with payments working, allowing multiple crypto currencies for payment, creating online tools for wallet management, ideally develop a debet card connected to the Carry account.

Drip
- Coin. Payment coin with build-in reward system for retail. Still in heavy development. Mining and Masternodes included.
- This could be a good one to work with: Allow multiple crypto coins to be used using your tokenized system.
- Like I said, don't compete but embrace.

Koinon
- currently in pre-sale - payment system is a single solution enabling merchants to accept crypto, mobile, and card payments – with a single piece of hardware. Koinon’s multi-currency eWallet and linked debit card give consumers a way of making transactions and sending funds using their tokens.
- There's a clear overlap here, and obivously coexistence is possible. Koinon is mainly aimed at South East Asia for now. Like there are multiple cards and banks right now, crypto powered payments solutions will also be multi-fold.
- Getting a working product out, will be key. And getting people to use it, even more. Offering a combination of crypto and fiat payments would be a win situation. Getting their first, is the major challenge.

COTI
- COTI wants to replace VISA / Mastercard. It wants to be a cheap way to take care of payments. Connecting the banking system with merchants. This would lower fees, remove declined transactions, remove the absolute need for a bank. Win-win for consumer and merchants.
- Also aimed at the unbanked, and as a connection between consumer and commerce.

Babb / BAX
- a decentralised platform to enable people to open a bank account and access peer-to-peer banking services. So basically they want to replace the original banking system with a blockchain one that's powered by users instead of bureaucracy that costs money.
- Aimed at UK, EU and then MENA. Planned to be done in Q3/Q4 2019.
- This could be a nice project to work together with: as CRE is tackling the payment system for offline businesses, and BABB is doing the banking part.

There are quite a few competitors in this niche.
One industry would be the "crypto card" niche. Where the company will load crypto and fiat on a card for a user, and make it usable at any store, online, or off. Thus connecting any offline merchant/store to the blockchain industry. I'm pretty sure this would be competition for what Carry protocol is going for. The crypto company "Metal" is one such company. Even "Gex Pay" is part of this ongoing crypto credit card saga. At the same time, I'm thinking you're looking for alternate information on different niches. This is the first thing that came to my mind, and is a big deal in the crypto universe. As for differences that allow you to coexist. Why coexist? I mean, healthy competition is always good for capitalism. But , the idea is to be the best, or get left behind/bought out.
Anyway, if i'm off topic then, I apologize, long night. thanks.

Too many ICOS promote the same concept, in fact, they do nothing, Thye just pump n dump token. Work on the project that is real so the coin will be worthy. MFG, MFchain, ink protocol and others are the same. I saw listia with ink protocol products found many bugs that users can cheat the system. I don't like pump and dump token

yeah ICOS are either big profit makers, or big losers, or big scams. One thing i've noticed about these new tasks, is that there is a lot of the same type of ideas coming up. Not much new innovative stuf.

I totally agree that many projects are copying previous ideas, however each has their own Unique Selling Point and that should be a factor on which to compare them.

Another thing is that different projects have different people behind and company's success depends above all on its people and the people they know. When comparing seemingly the same idea, look into the team and see whether their competitive advantage actually is there.

You almost have to instantly sell the coin/token when it hits the exchange, or you could risk losing a lot. I've seen them drop 90% instantly, and then skyrocket 300%. extreme.

Please take your time to READ THE TASK.. They ask us to FIND and ANALYSE the competition. Don't just jump on the three marked questions please. They don't name any company themselves, so... "yes, i think they are competition" can't be an answer! I used capitals to write the essentials, seems to work. ;)

Without competition, a business is simply impossible to build. Even if you have an original business with an innovative idea. There will always be those who want to repeat and you will be stimulated to get around in ideas, improve something in your business. Yes, I can call them competitors.

Yes, you have something of your own. And you are more than that. I think you are different little.

The most important thing to win is marketing. You need to tell more about yourself, make video advertising, buy content on good sites so that you are discussed. Catch that peak when you're ready. Create an open question-answer with users. The most important thing about yourself is the most important thing to catch hyip. Do it so that it would be convenient for you to work with the client and that the client wanted to return back.

(Excuse me if you do not understand something. I do not speak perfect English. Helps me write an interpreter. I as far as I could have studied and fairly answered.)

Hey, thank you for taking the time to translate your answer and contribute to our community. As I see you have nice input about marketing, I invite you to look into iOlite's current marketing strategy and suggest ways to improve on what is currently being done. Usually starting a new initiative in the marketing team requires confirmation from more than 1 department and can take time. That is why if you suggest how to improve what is already being done, then you might see your feedback immediately implemented.

Yes we can call them competitors because your business have the same goals. In business there's always a competition.

In my opinion I probably yes

First of all know the problems of the merchants and cnsumers encounter in online world. Discuss to your group what is the most better solution of it. Remember that you should make the merchant and consumers be comfortable to one it self. Second is to start a campaign or make an advertisement that will promote your company discuss why should they enter. Tell the advantage and the uniqueness of the business that attract them to enter.

Goodluck 👍

When looking at only public information available to the community, do you believe iOlite is actually communicating enough their advantage and uniqueness. What did you understand to be unique about them after looking over their website and public information?

Sorry I didn't mean uniqueness. I mean the benifit of the users of the business. Sorry for misinterpreting on it 😅. I didn't notice that I type it in here when I comment in other section. I'm really sorry 😅

Shopin https://cryptoslate.com/coins/shopin/

- Let's shoppers control and share their data. Mostly about customization, but they also offer a payment service and all.
https://vimeo.com/266522724

Every

- They changed their name from Shop to Every recently. I don't know if they are still going. Their site doesn't look promising so far, but this article will tell you what they are about.
https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/every-token-ico/

Universal Reward Protocol https://rewardprotocol.com/

- Focusses on shoppers on and offline. Trying to get data about information on the shoppers. Recieve personolized promotions based on the data the customer gets payed to share. You can also get rewarded for visiting sites or location. Proof of behaviour is used to make the shoppers do certain things.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=IFJ0EARg0r0

Nucleus Vision https://nucleus.vision/

- They provide info on customers, also the ones who don't buy so you can use this information to activate the potential they have.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7nYkI54VYg

Biotron https://biotron.io/

- Could be fishing in your pool when they turn their attention to retail. I think they are no competition right now. They focus on data collection, but can take certain customers who want data on shoppers.

This is just the ones i knew, so i don't know how much room there is left really. But you will need a very good plan.

1. they can become competitors because they have the same business but that is not a problem because with competitors, it can be a reference to how well the business we run.
2. yes...!

1. Competition is important because it creates a competitive feel. Every person or business institution must inevitably mobilize all the capabilities he has (all out) in order to dominate (not monopolize) and win the competition. This is good because each party will give the best, they have to win the competition.

2. Competition must display something different or something new in order to attract the attention of the consumer community (target market), so that innovation and creativity of a person and business institution must be maximized.

3. Competition makes us have a clear direction and measure to win the race. We know who our competitors are, we know where and when to prepare, and require making plans to win in the competition.

4. Competition opens up our weaknesses, by knowing from the beginning our weaknesses. This clearly will make it easier for us to immediately make improvements, update strategies and analyze more deeply. We can be more self-aware and more careful.

5. Competition is one element of the game, this causes the need for the appointment of a referee or supervisory body, whose job is to supervise the rules of the game so that the game (competition) runs fairly and proportionally and is in charge of sanctioning players / business players who cheat and violate a code of ethics that has been mutually agreed upon.

3.
1. A clear business concept
2. Start analyzing competition
3. How important are you building partners
4. Promote or advertise
5. Satisfactory service
6. Establish good relationships with customers
7. Pay attention to product quality
8. Evaluation and Innovation
