Smart contracts are building blocks adding to the blockchain environment. Conditions of this self-executing agreements are evaluated by computer code and without a need to trust any other party. These trustless contracts enables new business models in the decentralized crypto world. We at iOlite are enabling blockchain for everyone, simplifying the process of writing the smart contracts.

In order to deliver the best possible outcome, we would like to ask you for a feedback on the focus of our services. Do you think that we should specialize in a certain field of smart contracts applications (smart contracts for ICO, supply chain management industry, e.g.)? Is there any field in which you see the greatest potential for utilizing smart contracts features?

I really like the idea of smart contracts for small businesses and individuals hiring service providers. For example, giving home owners a sense of security when hiring a contractor. That is fantastic. I think some attention should be applied to the learning curve people will need to understand smart contracts and what it can do.

Maybe specializing in offering smart contract among artist will be of great idea. most of the creatives do not really get paid because of lack of a global sound system in place. this include musicians. most of them cannot monetize their art in other parts of the globe.

Preparing the Future for Blockchain Technology!

Smart contract for ICOs would be a worthwhile focus. However, in the coming years I see a lot of regulations coming. And with that being said ICO may be a thwarted because of their rocky history and their many exit scams. But on the other hand if you were able to abide by these regulations than smart contracts would be heavily utilized. Supply chain has a huge potential, there are many use cases utilizing the blockchain in this way. However, there are several companies such as VEN/VET and WTC that are already trying to do this and have accomplished a lot already. So you would have to show how iolite has a better advantage then the supply chain coins already out there. I can also see media and social media in need for blockchain technology. There's a lot of fake news out there and a way to make new trustless would be pretty beneficial.

iOlite does need to specialize in certain field of smart contracts applications, but iOlite also needs to build a smart contract platform with the mission of "Connecting all the digital assets in the world". And this can be achieved with the private cross-chain smart contract feature. In the hope that iOlite Platform can be used to create a stable, private, and transactionable smart contract with other cross-chain transactions plus other important features necessary for future development of blockchain. So in the future iOlite will integrate with Bitcoin and have Multi-Coin Wallet, then all ICO and smart contracts made with the iOlite platform will be able to transact with Bitcoin and other critical Cryptocurrency. And this is the greatest potential to use the smart contract features in the future.

Blockchain and Smart contracts are a new thing and new kind of technology that can be utilized in a wide variety of field. In my own opinion, I think you should try both Smart contracts for ICO and supply chain management industry and possibly and other fields that are useful. Don't limit your project to one specific field.

Personally I'm a big fan of VeChain, much interesting stuff to read about their project.
I prefer leaving 2 references then try to explain myself too much because theirs just too much to say. First involves crypto world - https://cryptobriefing.com/supply-chains-demand-blockchains and the second not - https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/supply-chain-management-...

I believe that IOLite will best serve the public if it is usable by a wide range of people in many industries. For blockchain adoption to continue, we need to remove as many barriers of entry as possible so that the experience is as painless as possible. The IOLite project has the ability to give any type of professional or person the tools to create something unique on blockchain technology. While there are certainly industries that would benefit from blockchain more than others, I think the limiting factor of what a user can create should be their own imagination. If there is a requirement in the roadmap to specialize, I feel that the financial and supply chain fields are the two industries that would best utilize blockchain and would be the quickest to adopt it.

I really don't think it matters whether you specialize or not. In fact, I think specializing just limits the business prospects. If you become the standard for smart contracts and do them well, it really shouldn't matter what industry/type of contract. Think of Docusign as an example -- docusign has created a platform for electronic signatures on any type of document and that allows the company essentially limitless scope and scale.

Well researched in startups. Startup employee currently.

To answer your questions: 1. I do think you should specialize in a certain field of smart contracts, initially at least. I believe you should treat this just as if you were building any other non-crypto/virtual business. That being said, you should target a niche market, dominate that market, and then move into adjacent markets and into the mainstream. 2. I think the best fields to start out in are the ones with the biggest problems today and/or those who are most willing to use your technology. So, I would say places that have malicious or extremely expensive or perhaps nonexistent governments/banks/lawyers/escrow services/etc. Additionally, I think countries with high technology literacy and young populations would be ideal.

Smart contracts as a concept is great. What you should really work on is how do you take it to the masses. In other words, majority of the contract terms, organisations would like to keep it confidential. The people who are not worried about confidentiality but the other party honoring the contract should be your target. Therefore, individuals and masses should be your target segment which really doesnt understand smart contracts as a concept as of now. Also, can you focus on auction contracts. I see some good potential for smart contracts over there. Hope the above is helpful. Thanks

Hi Mehul, thank you for sharing your views and suggestions with us! Would you mind elaborating on why you think we should focus on auction contracts? We're very interested in your input :)

We also aim to introduce the masses to smart contracts by allowing anyone to write a smart contract through our platform using a natural language such as; English or Russian as well as popular coding languages.

If you have any further questions or feedback then please let me know!

Hi Raymond,

Auction contracts has two typical issues associated with it, especially if the auction is online, which are as follows:

1. Default in honoring the bid price - The bidder may not pay the bid value post the auction and this leads the entire auction process futile waste of money for the auctioneer. Smart contracts can work as escrow to release the bid value on conclusion of the auction based on pre-decided condition.

2. Auctioned product / service being different from projected - At times, it is only known after the auction is completed and the bidder winning the auction having no recourse. Therefore, smart contracts can be used to fill in some pre-determined post auction conditions based on which the bid value will be released.

Hope the above is helpful.

Thanks and regards,

Mehul

Connect the dots - think outside the box

What value does smart contract give? Does smart contracts have usecases? What problems could they solve? Speak language that non-nerds speaks. Dum down what smartcontracts does in wider picture to get customers from mainstream companies. IMHO your question setting is like asking what mathematic formula has biggest potential. Which arithmetic should you focus.. When one of you guys figure out how to explain to taxi company how they can save recources with your company - you get customers. When you can show with clear usecases how your company benefits the business model in your potential customer's field - you get customers. It is not about what - it's about how. Sell the idea - not the tech. Set up a bounty program to find 10 partnership companies. From startup companies to medium size. Create working product that adds value to the partner company. For you guys it is about smart contracts - for the partners it's easy to use way to do something and they can not imagine life without it. Please ask me to elaborate. I'm late from a meeting.

Hi Krypto, Thank you for sharing your views and feedback with us! I understand where you're coming from when you say: "Sell the idea - not the tech. ". The idea is great, smartcontract of blockchain for everyone. That kind of project is waited by everyone. When I participate in some ICOs, I never know how smartcontract work. I invest some ICOs using erc20. with automatic sistem. I think it was wonderful. I try to see the coding of the smartcontract, ehm, it was not for me. I have no skill in crytpo coding. Only experience developers can involve in it. I search for other alternatives but I got no any programs that is for non developers. I am a blogger. I use wordpress platform in my blog. It is easy just drag and drop. I shouldn;t have to know html or php coding but I can run my wp website. is the idea of IOLITE the same as Wordpress?

Self employed my whole life looking for new opportunity. Blockchain offers this!

Certainly having a specialization to start helps . It keeps things more simple and creates a foundation to expand. Specializing in already successful fields like 0X protocol will help develop name recognition by getting the service and name out there along with existing successful projects. Smart contracts for ICO's is a good idea as well but the frequency of scams leads to the potential of associating service with these shady practices. Summary, starting small and being good at what you do is best. Creating a strong foundation to start and associating your name/service with existing successful projects makes sense.

I think that you will need to differentiate your project against the other smart contract platforms/projects. What do you bring to the table that the other ones don't? As you mentioned above specialisation is good, but probably not enough to get yourself noticed since there are so many out there. What platform do you plan to run on, or are you developing your own?

Hi Fred, thank you for sharing your views with us! We are unique since we will allow anyone to write a contract using English, Russian or using any of the most popular programming languages through our platform. There currently are few projects focusing on this issue/opportunity, we value having a working product very much and thus we are launching our mainnet in August.
I hope this gives you some clarity. If any further questions or remarks come up please let me know!

One of the best things about the blockchain is that, because it is a decentralized system that exists between all permitted parties, there’s no need to pay intermediaries (Middlemen) and it saves you time and conflict. Blockchains have their problems, but they are rated, undeniably, faster, cheaper, and more secure than traditional systems, which is why banks and governments are turning to them. #Thing is it will be better if you can introduce a better Registration system with all the regulations and rules. It should be tight in security as well. It will increase the quality of the system.

Don't see it as faster right now, but the space is working on it... until that is solved, it becomes difficult to disrupt the banks. The next few years it will be crucial for infrastructure improvements

Smart contracts truly is the future of blockchain but KYC and other regulation has hindered the markets and the great value projects. We all need to wait for the markets to come back. Smart contracts can tranform every written record of any business dealing or normal contract.

Smart contracts for payments are pretty easy to do i think, as you see with ICO's all over the place. Maybe some other easy options to get started. But yeah.. have to get started right? It doesn't matter if it's simple, if it's usefull. Could be even a plus! After that i could see it go two ways: Control creativity of let creativity control you. - do you want give closed options? Could do community votes or something to shape these directions. - or what could also be very interesting. Be open to the community and see what rolls out, get some nice rewards for good templates for example. Build around that. So i think it's about how flexible you want to be in that regard. You can go with a nice combination of creating a strong community(and use the potential and experience of that community) to go with a nice basic product. To see where this will take you.

Hi Elric, thank you for your suggestion as well as your feedback. To answer your questions about the templates, on our platform a contributor creates language blocks according to community/authors needs and requests. For that contributors receive iLT payments per each time their blocks are used to create transactions and increase their reputation rank.

Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions and remarks!

Staunch believer in the power of the crowd and blockchain.

At this stage in your company (and in the broader implementation of blockchain), I feel that focusing on too many areas or an area that has not been implemented fully (blockchain in supply chain management for example), would be a waste of resources. Instead, an incremental approach would be better starting with what, right now, smart contracts are mostly used for and where there is a market: ICOs. With this focus, you will be able to build up a client base and revenue and use that as a springboard to branch out into other applications. The top area I would look into after icos for future potential is: Securities - The dominating topic of discussion at crypto conventions this year has been securities and regulations. Finally, with solutions like Polymath allowing smoother implementation of securities, this is an area that is looking to open the door for institutional money jumping in, particularly for securities for real estate and luxury goods. The top area I would avoid would be: Exchanges - This area is absolutely flooded right now and bound to be purged with a vast majority of these new exchanges fading within a year.

Hi Randy, Thank you for your suggestion! As well as for showing us your reasoning behind it. We very much appreciate your effort :)

a block in a blockchain is a book, containing a record of a transaction like an accounting book, the difference is that when an accounting book uses a credit debit system, in this blockchain it is simpler, just recording the source - input - fund (from whom amount) and the transfer destination -output- (to whom how many). The book is then sealed using cryptographic functions and then compiled together with previous books forming blockchain and distributed or copied to other places scattered everywhere as evidence as well as backups that can be read by anyone. In the process of writing this book, the node before writing it will check whether the data written as the source of the transaction has actually existed, the number is correct, has never been used in other transactions, and that the input whether the person is entitled or not, this mechanism is called double spending prevention (update: this mechanism applies to the bitcoin blockchain system) Address In the cryptocurrency concept, an address can be identified as an account number, an address created from a key pair generated from a random function. One key is private (private key) that must be kept well by pemilknya, and one more public nature (public key) which serve as an address or account number. In its development bitcoin not only supports the use of public key as an address, currently bitcoin can use address derived from a special code (script) to achieve flexibility. However the concept of this address is still unchanged, in addition to functioning as an account number, can also represent an identity or authorization code. Problems and Needs For me the blockchain contains the solution I need, however the concept of blockchain used in bitcoin and cryptocurrency generally has a disadvantage from the point of view of my needs. The value of money (BTC if in bitcoin) is generated from a distributed mining process and can not be specified (both amount and time), and the value of money that has been made technically can not be returned or eliminated from the system. Characteristic in making the concept of blockchain will be difficult to adopt for the model of value or assets that require the concept of inventory (in and out of goods) and the arrangement is central (central authority) Ethereum Bitcoin is the first generation of cryptocurrency and probably the most popular today, after the bitcoin appears other cryptocurrencies such as lite coin, ripple, ethereum and many more. Ethereum is one of the cryptocurrencies that supports the concept of smart contract, in contrast to bitcoin even though it has the same form of smart contract (script), ethereum provides the flexibility to create smart contracts with the equivalent complexity of programs written in the general programming language (complete turing machine) Smart Contract in Ethereum At first when I heard the term smart contract, my mind was immediately fixated on the concept of pay to script from bitcoin with higher complexity, so I then only focused on exploring blockchain technology for my needs. But lately, I started studying smart contracts and found answers to the needs I was looking for, although not exactly the same. For programmers, smart contracts are more suitable to be analogous to javascript in browsers, although they are complete programming languages, but both are limited by the execution environment (runtime environment) - browser in javascript, if javascript is executed based on browser events (click, mouseover etc. ) and can only manipulate the screen display (via HTML DOM) then the smart contract is executed based on financial events on the ethereum (money transfer, interaction with other scripts etc.) and can only manipulate the financial variables on the ethereum platform. As for the layman, smart contract can be analogous to a kiosk machine (ATM, vending machine) which has a specific function, work automatically, isolated, and require input (money) to be able to perform certain functions. At a glance the smart contract is no different from the program made with other programming languages, and it is true, because the difference is in the execution environment Distributed, Replicated, Immutable, Non repudiation Distributed means data and functionality distributed (opposite of centralistic) on a number of servers with different locations, Replicated means the data is duplicated / backed up to various places, Immutable means that data already written can not be changed - change again and is forever, Non Repudiation means who - who wrote the changes can be proven

why make the currency, if the currency is only for trading, not for transactions.
