Worldwide Texting Statistics Over 560 billion texts are sent every month worldwide. App messages combine for more than 60 billion messages monthly. People worldwide will send 8.3 trillion text messages in just a year. That's almost 23 billion messages per day which would be almost 16 million messages per minute, and all these messages are being stored on a central server of an application. Mobile messaging apps have become a strong force in the mobile app sector, offering users an alternative to SMS-based texting. Photo-sharing apps are no pure messaging platforms; yet, the platforms have seen unprecedented growth in the last few years.

With our ySign app, we can send messages and make phone calls to others free, secure and anonymous! Creating and developing an app for communication without stored information was our goal. Instead of storing your chat communications or calls on a central server, ySign uses blockchain technology for decentralized file sharing to carry and distribute encrypted messages. The decentralized blockchain is our way to secure and guarantee users total privacy during the exchange of information. If there is no centralized copy of all data, there is also no possibility to misuse any information about users. Also, the application doesn't require any personal information from users - users are registered just with username and password.

Let us know, how you feel about ySIGN. What challenges could we encounter and how to deal with them ? We are looking forward to your valuable contributions and ideas.

After going through the project I had found it the unique way to save user's privacy in messenger category I support it

First of all I wish your project will succeed. Recently, when the most used social media platforms in the world were found to market user information to third parties, this caused the conscious users to be more careful. Although these world giants claim that they care about our privacy, they do not support it with the recent events. There is one more thing we do not know, there are very few conscious people in the world who use their known messaging practices. The convenience it brings together can not be denied, but the intention is not to worry too much about the individual who wants to communicate with the other person. Nevertheless, in this sector, it has not been avoided to produce such a project especially after the blockchain technology. We already know that the intelligence units are using this technology to communicate. And why would the world be deprived of such an application? Finally, where does the use of the application come to meet the costs of the application .. I think ySing together with the application should also enter a digital currency. Ysign is a good innovation in telecommunications Industry, phone users via Calls, text messages or internet will have their privacy without any interference. Nice work,Great Concept

Working on remedies of insecurity through this newly developed app by this team imreally deserve applause. But my concern is how the common masses can make use of it in the rural area and let there be more sensitization on it

This is awesome. I sturdily believe that it is essential for the improvement of the global technology. YSign has really helped its users to evade data theft, which is currently common in the world. All I do seek of the YSign team is to strengthen their security enabling them to track down illegal activities.

Thanks for support. It would be impossible to stay true to our cause and track down illegal activities but be are gonna give our best to prevent them, since tracking would request keeping data.

The fact that mobile messaging apps have become a strong force in the mobile app sector, offering users an alternative to SMS-based texting gives rise to Ysign project. My suggestion is that there should be optimum privacy on the side of the user to avoid any third party interference in the data usage. Although I already got some Ysign token in my wallet, I believe in the project that was my reason for getting it. Keep up the good work.

Staunch believer in the power of the crowd and blockchain.

Looks like there aren't any significant comments about the tech side of things, so here are some VERY important things to consider: #1) Scalability - If you decide to build on a smart contract platform (like eth or neo) then you have the benefit of being part of that ecosystem but will face major challenges as those ecosystems enlarge. You will be facing higher fees and slower confirmation times. I HIGHLY suggest you use eth or neo only for ico purposes but work on your own dedicated blockchain immediately. #2) Cost of Running a Blockchain - Since your are targeting a large user base and expect activity in the billions, this will put a significant strain on blockchain itself and more payment to those who run nodes or masternodes. I suggest you hash out the numbers it will take to run a large scale blockchain and decide what route you want to go (PoS, PoW, etc.) #3) Business Partners - To tackle the technical difficulty of putting a messaging service on the blockchain, consider partnering up with another project that offers the technical solutions you need. There are literally dozens of new companies offering things like infrastructure as a service, or cloud based tech as a service. This can be mutually beneficial and fast track you through all the technical difficulties you will face.

ySIGN is a great innovation and would go along way if accepted by all, especially the privacy aspect and the fact that calls and SMS can be made for free. One of the challenges I think that might be encountered would be for it to be accepted by the general population but much more awareness via the social media would be of great advantage.

Privacy in tele-communication either through phone call or text (sms/mms) is really a unique concept which ySIGN has brought to everyone. Many people had experienced a bad omen through various network providers due to there negligence in securing users data/info which a lot of evil doers leverage on to carry out there unwanted and disdain act. Evil doers such as armed bandits and kidnappers make use of this loopholes in telecommunication industries to get all the informations they need in carrying out there operations, may we not be there victim. The unique innovation of ySIGN working on this loophole making use of the blockchain to safe callers data/info is highly welcomed and which must be supported by everyone who values privacy.

privacy is actually what you will deliver. A concern I would consider is what makes the company different than Other project. How are you able to gain the people's trust and attention?

It's quite simple, we don't want to cheat anyone and instead of many others who just talk, we fight for privacy

The problem with anomamous messaging services is that they can very quickly become a platform for all sorts of trolls, perverts and paedofiles. How do you intend to prevent this from happening, while also maintaining the privacy that many normal users crave?

Hi, thank you for the question.
Between App and blockchain there will be an algorithm which will follow a keywords (HUB).
So without interference with user it will just disallow message, truth to be told we can never fully defend against all sorts of deform, but we'll try our best!

This project could not have come at a better. With all the recent privacy concerns e.g. Facebook and Cambridge analytica there is a huge market to tap into. However you also have many competitors in this field and separating your self from the rest will be a challenge. You need to emphasize what makes your product superior to the rest.

This will be a nice idea, because privacy is paramount especially in the present world we are now

The challenge is to convince people why using the blockchain is necessary for your goal. There were already projects with the same goal of not storing any user information without using the blockchain and still people are using WhatsApp because it's the most spread one. How can you achieve that the mass will use your product, when my hair cutter or the lady working in the bakery doesn't know what blockchain even is but are texting their friends on a daily basis via WhatsApp? Your vision will have a great use for the few nerds who are interested in these topics and who understand the value of your goal but achieving the mass seems almost impossible. So the audience you should focus at is clear I guess.

I find this platform very useful and needed. ySing solves privacy, the most important problem with communication using mass-adopted technology. Privacy of users is very demanding also by governance and business around the world. This platform would help them meet the privacy requirements in the future.

why you want to do that, the problem statement is justified. how you want to do that, I am not convinced with just providing blockchain with encrypted messages, what encryption algo will you use, and is the blockchain is public, it can decrypted. So unsure of the probable solution you are envisaging at the momemt.

a very interesting project. I'm sure everyone likes something for free. especially when uploading and downloading free images and videos. will certainly add value for Ysign. for now the challenge may not yet be seen. maybe if the app has been launched, it will look a challenge. maybe Ysign can add some features that do not yet exist in other app

I love the idea, especially if the messages sent has the bank information, home address , ID number etc that cyber thieves are hunting and putting yourself in high risk situation. My suggestion is you to have a very good marketing plan or partnership with Facebook to make your project successful. I'll be supporting you. Good luck!

Signification time spent with enterprise software companies

I think if you can get marketshare you will do well. The concept has already been proven for Billions of users across many existing chat platforms (Texting through your cellphone provider, FactTime, Skype, Wechat, Snapshat, KIK, Facebook Messager and many others). The biggest question I have is how do you plan taking that marketshare from your competition. You seem to be leaning heavily on the privacy and decentralized nature of the blockchain you are creating to differentiate but I would be concerned about using that as the sole reason why people should adopt your platform versus what people already. Each one of these giants I mentioned used their own unique feature to create / get marketshare (example Snapchat providing time sensitive messages / pictures). I think your company will really struggle if you don't have one of these unique features yourself. While I think privacy is important for chat and video apps. However I think user-experience is going to be the most important factor. I can't see much about your user experience besides a couple of screenshots of the user interface in the whitepaper so I would focus most of your efforts on making it a really easy clean user experience.

this is a great project for sms and free calls. all people will love something free. the challenge must be there. users anonymously, will have an effect on fraud. the solution is, for registration ysign, the user must register using phone number and ID card or passport. a good application not only awake someone's privacy, but also convenient to use

It all depends on whhat kind of blockchain you will use. But even with the perfect blockchain suited for 10k transactions per second (that doesn't exist yet), which is peanuts for any serious messaging app, the merit of forcing blockchain into a message app eludes me. Messaging can be more anonymous and more encrypted using pedestrian tech that many existing messaging apps use already and have no need at all for blockchain. Not to mention traditional approach is a lot cheaper than blockchain way.

This project I think is very good for the development of the world of technology today. Everyone can send SMS for free and encrypted, YSign has helped its users to avoid data theft and tapping that is currently rampant in the world. But the question is, what if the gap is used by corruptors for money laundering, for other illegal activities. Whether they can be tracked. I hope the YSign team is also thinking about it.

This is a very timely and relevant project, given recent data breaches and the increased focus on privacy (GDPR in the EU, etc.). While I understand the concept, how can you guarantee security, privacy and anonymity?

The project as a very good timing with all the privacy problems running around. If you can do something like a "decentrelized Telegram", probably you will be good. And can be monetized with using tokens for some special features. FortKnoxster is a competitor and idk what's going on with Telegram ICO. The market want's this, and i believe that personal data protection will be one of the first real use case for blockchain regarding mass adoption. Keep up the good work

Your project is extremely relevant what with the FB data breach fiasco shaking up public trust on centralised social media platforms. The market is ripe for this sort of concept, and the only challenge I see is how you market this thing in a way that cuts through all the clutter of similar products being introduced. It is disruptive, no doubt about it, you just have to roll out an equally disruptive marketing campaign. Thanks for the opportunity to comment!
